St Lucia is one of the most beautiful, exotic and romantic of all the Caribbean islands and the perfect destination for an unforgettable honeymoon. We’ve hand-picked some of the best honeymoon resorts in St Lucia below, outlining what makes each of them so special.

But first, St Lucia herself…

A heady mix of dense lush green jungle, secret coves and bright white sand. Mountains rising from cerulean seas. St Lucia offers a stunning and varied setting like nowhere else. Read on to find out where to stay for the ultimate St Lucia honeymoon.

The Pitons, two breathtaking volcanic spires on a UNESCO world heritage site take a lot of the headlines, and you’ll be hard pushed to find a photo of St Lucia on Instagram, or anywhere else, without them featuring and taking centre stage, and for good reason, they are one of the most spellbinding monuments anywhere in the world and worth the journey alone – but there is far more to this paradise island in the West Indies.

More than seventy per cent of the island is covered in rainforest, and home to more than 180 different species of birds – six of which are endemic to St Lucia. There are also natural volcanic sulphur springs with beautifying and healing properties. St Lucia is simply full of natural wonder – which also means the food and drink on the island is as exceptional and varied too. Another compelling reason to consider a St Lucia honeymoon.

The Roseau Valley, a gigantic banana plantation and multitude of distilleries has 21 different types of rum, Hotel Chocolat’s Rabot Restaurant features its pioneering cacao cuisine (and cacao Bellinis) and St Lucia has its own home brewed pilsner called Piton. It’s worth going to St Lucia just to wine and dine, which means every meal on your St Lucia honeymoon will be an unforgettable experience.

But probably our favourite thing about St Lucia is its plethora of hidden coves, bays and beautiful beaches which just radiate adventure and romance. Whether you’re watching the sun rise or gently fade into night in a display of rich colour, or (and this is highly recommended) you’re gazing upon one of the idyllic towns and villages, watching the colourful lights jump into action, music and the smell of Caribbean cooking drifting through the air, as you cruise into port already imagining how the first sip of a rum cocktail will taste, St Lucia’s beaches are alive with magic (think Anse Chastenet and Sugar Beach).

Such is the splendour of St Lucia’s shorelines much of its coast has been featured in novels and movies, including the first Pirates of the Caribbean where the picture-perfect Marigot Bay makes a memorable cameo as Jack Sparrow sees the hanging skeletons of captured pirates from the natural arch rising out of the deep blue Caribbean Sea.

The adventure the island is steeped in isn’t all fictional either. It’s rumoured that Black Beard buried treasure at Vieux Fort, a town in the south of the island, and in the mid sixteenth century French Pirates who were led by Francois Leclerc, better known as “Jambe de Bois” for his wooden leg, or ‘Peg Leg’ settled on Pigeon Island, a secure base in a strategic location which allowed him to ambush passing ships.

All of this adds up to the perfect setting for the most spectacular honeymoon you can imagine – actually you probably can’t even, but you certainly won’t forget it, especially with some of the best Caribbean luxury resorts to choose from.

Wild Bay Co is as much a celebration of the people who make these incredible experiences possible, as it is a celebration of the luxury resorts and hotels themselves. If you’ve stayed somewhere outstanding that deserves recognition for its exceptional attention to detail as well as its stunning setting then contact us and let us know.

This is where you’ll find luxury in nature’s embrace. Imagine: enjoying a spa treatment in a rainforest treehouse, walking the soft white sands barefoot on a culinary journey, then retreating to your own private cottage in the mountains.

Sugar Beach St Lucia

Sugar Beach St Lucia is a luxury beach resort set among 100 acres of pristine rainforest with spectacular views of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Pitons right on the beautiful emerald waters of the Caribbean Sea.

Offering idyllic island seclusion, majestic views and ultimate tropical indulgence Sugar Beach St Lucia stands apart from any other luxury beach resort in the world and is undoubtedly one of the best honeymoon resorts in St Lucia.

A romantic hidden bay, pristine white sand and majestic views of The Pitons

There’s a reason Matt Damon rented out the entire Sugar Beach resort in St Lucia to renew his vows with a host of his A-list celebrity friends. It’s basically paradise, so if we could renew our vows absolutely anywhere in the world … yeh, we’d choose Sugar Beach too. It also makes the perfect honeymoon destination.

Guestrooms, villas, beachfront bungalows and residences at Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort, are set in privacy amid vibrant gardens and soaring trees so you can enjoy the harmony between nature and modern living. Outside your door: breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea and the Val des Pitons, along with all the 18th-century Colonial charm St. Lucia is known for.

There are six on site restaurants and bars offering incredible local cuisine, fine dining and casual tropical bites, plus there’s the option for in room dining and Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort offers a dedicated Beach Concierge team to cater to the needs of guests while they soak up the sun poolside or on the white sands of Sugar Beach.

Sugar Beach St Lucia is so idyllic, and so well set up to cater for your every need – even if you haven’t thought of it yet – that you will find it hard to venture much further than than its glorious beach or stunning main swimming pool. But to really make the most of your stay book onto one of the land, sea or air tours and activities to get a better view (hard to imagine when you’re staring up at the Pitons, but they really do look spectacular from all angles, near and far). Whether you’re seeking adventure, history, culture – or just lots and lots of romance – Sugar Beach, and St Lucia, has you covered, and no doubt whichever excursion you choose it’s sure to leave you, and your partner, in awe of your breathtakingly beautiful surroundings with one of the best honeymoon resorts in St Lucia as your base.

The setting is breathtaking and unlike any other, on a volcano ridgeline 1,000 feet above the deep, blue Caribbean Sea, with stunning views of the Pitons.

Ladera Resort

Nestled in the heart of St Lucia’s lush green rainforest, perched gracefully atop a 1000ft high volcano ridgeline with breathtaking views of the Pitons and the deep blue Caribbean Sea, the Ladera Resort looks more like something from fiction than reality and is one of the best luxury resorts in the Caribbean.

Sip champagne, watch the yachts float across the bay and enjoy this spectacular tropical retreat.

Zoetry Marigot Bay St. Lucia

5-star luxury accommodations, a beautiful tropical spa made up of chic cabins perfect for couples’ treatments, and a world-class marina make Zoetry Marigot Bay an idyllic resort for a honeymoon in St Lucia.

Tropical beauty

Zoetry Marigot Bay St. Lucia is a totally unique resort and a must-consider when planning a St Lucia honeymoon.

124 beautiful spacious accommodations are weaved into and around the lush green St Lucian hillside offering gorgeous views of the mountain, bay or vibrant gardens.

We stayed in a stunning Master Suite Residence with Plunge Pool. Split in two sections with a kitchen and living room area and a separate bedroom and bathroom it felt more like our own luxurious tropical apartment than a hotel room.

Dark wooden furniture matched the wooden decking outside, with cool blues, and tropical patterns dotted around to give a cosy Caribbean feel. As nice as the suite was, the plunge pool, and the view of the main infinity pool directly below, and what American novelist James A. Michener described as “The most beautiful bay in the world’, straight ahead, really stole the show. Rain or shine – and arguably the tropical rain was even more mesmerising – we spent hours happily sipping on cocktails watching the swaying palm trees, yachts coming and going and the bay’s tranquil waters.

Iconic white sand La Bas beach is a short boat ride across the marina aboard Zoetry Marigot Bay’s shuttle. Like everything else at Marigot Bay the beach is one-of-a-kind and takes centre stage for unbelievable sunset photographs. There’s also a spellbindingly pretty spa built on stilts in the jungle.

Romantic, secluded, and unforgettable Zoetry Marigot Bay is one of the best honeymoon resorts in St Lucia.

Intimate, romantic and luxurious tropical escape perfect for a St Lucia honeymoon.

Rabot Hotel, Hotel Chocolat St Lucia

A one-of-a-kind resort with incredible views of St Lucia’s iconic Petit Piton mountain.

Romantic rainforest retreat

This is a special place. The combination of being next to a working cacao farm, in the middle of lush rainforest with transfixing views of St Lucia’s majestic Petit Piton Mountain – it really is right there in front of you – is a heady one.

And it gets better. With just 25 private lodges there’s a real feel of intimacy and luxury while on property – perfect for a honeymoon. There are two types of accommodation, Lodges, with beautiful views of the ethereal garden courtyard or the Petit Piton beyond, and 19 Luxe Lodges, which offer dramatic views across the Saint Lucian rainforest to the Petit Piton from their private verandahs. The design is a mix of St Lucian charm and contemporary style, and all rooms, as well as providing freshly ground coffee, tea and filtered water, have an in-room Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser™ and drinking chocolate. Almost everything at The Rabot Hotel and on The Rabot Estate ties back to the farming and production of the highest quality chocolate, with ethical and sustainable practices at the heart of every step – and it’s a real privilege to see it in action. We highly recommend exploring Project Chocolat and taking the full tree to bar experience.

The open-air Rabot Restaurant, which offers unbelievable views of the Petit Piton, and exclusive cacao cuisine, including things like Cacao Bellini sundowners, cacao nib marinated scallops and white chocolate mash (in their own words, ‘shouldn’t work, but it does. Addictive.’ And we wholeheartedly agree).

And then there’s the infinity pool. We’ve been lucky to have seen and experienced many spectacular infinity pools at some very special resorts – and this is right up there. Believe us when we say ‘wow factor’ just doesn’t really do it justice.

With plenty of romance and luxury to be found here – as well as a totally unique experience – the Rabot Estate has to be on our list of the best honeymoon resorts in St Lucia.

There are few places in the world that rival this unique romantic setting.

Cap Maison

Cap Maison is one of Saint Lucia’s premier luxury boutique resorts with an idyllic beach, spa and oceanfront views.

Elegant luxury hotel and private villas set in a stunningly beautiful location

Set in a stunningly beautiful location with its own secluded sandy beach. Being both private yet near to the chic Rodney Bay area and adjacent to the St. Lucia Golf & Country Club, it is in one of the most sought after spots on the island appealing to both the active as well as those seeking a relaxed retreat.

The intimate and stylishly designed villa suites make it feel more like a private residence (albeit with impressive hotel facilities) providing the perfect setting to enable you to get the most from your precious time. Lovingly created, it is family owned and managed so service is naturally friendly, personal and attentive without being invasive. Attention to detail is paramount, from the design to the service and the food. Featuring two of the best restaurants on the island, the Cliff at Cap and the Naked Fisherman (along with one of the best stocked walk in wine cellars) it is definitely a hotel for food lovers.

Affectionately called the “Helen of the West Indies” with its green rainforest peaks stretching down to shores of deep blue water, St. Lucia is famed for its romantic appeal.

Amongst this natural beauty sits Cap Maison in a breath taking ocean and cliff front location giving you elevated views across to Martinique.

Whether you want a tranquil and intimate experience or an energetic adventure on your St Lucia honeymoon, it’s a naturally romantic spot complemented by spacious suites, private roof terraces and pools, and four acres of tropical landscaped gardens to unwind in.

Described by many as one of the most romantic spots in the Caribbean, “Rock Maison” is the resort’s offshore private dining deck surrounded by the surging sea rolling over coral reefs where you can enjoy sunset cocktails, a romantic meal and bottles of ice cold champagne in a basket sent to you via the world’s only Champagne Zip Line!

You can even sink into the warm waters of Rock Maison’s natural rockpool and let the waves gently lap around you, cocktail in hand.

A cornucopia of organic architecture in celebration of one of nature’s most alluring settings.

Jade Mountain

Jade Mountain is an architectural marvel and undoubtedly one of the best honeymoon resorts in St Lucia – or anywhere.

An unforgettable stage set for your honeymoon

Rising majestically above the 600 acre beach front resort of Anse Chastanet, Jade Mountain Resort on St. Lucia’s south-western Caribbean coastline is a cornucopia of organic architecture celebrating St. Lucia’s stunning scenic beauty.

Architect owner Nick Troubetzkoy has expanded upon his philosophy of building in harmony with Caribbean nature in his creation of Jade Mountain St. Lucia. The bold architectural design – individual bridges leading to exceptional infinity pool sanctuaries and rugged stoned-faced columns reaching towards the sky – makes Jade Mountain St. Lucia one of the Caribbean’s most mesmerizing resort experiences.

Expect grand sweeping spaces where bedroom, living area and an extravagant private infinity pool glide into one another to form extraordinary platforms floating out into nature. With the fourth wall entirely absent, Jade Mountain’s sanctuaries are stage-like settings from which to embrace the full glory of St. Lucia’s Pitons World Heritage Site, and of course, the eternal Caribbean Sea.

Wrapped around an infinity pool with a dazzling kaleidoscope of colors, the Jade Mountain Club celebrates James Beard Award winner Chef Allen Susser’s “Jade Cuisine.” Hovering in space above the Jade Mountain Club is the Celestial Terrace, perfect for sunset cocktails or star-gazing.

A wide range of spa services can be enjoyed in the privacy of the Jade Mountain sanctuaries or at Kai en Ciel, Jade Mountain’s boutique spa and fitness studio. The resort major domos and a dedicated resort team ensure outstanding service around the clock.

Enjoy the exclusivity and privacy of Jade Mountain with all of sister resort Anse Chastanet’s restaurants, bars, boutiques, art gallery, spa, scuba, bike and watersports facilities as well as 2 soft sand beaches available and easily accessible to Jade Mountain guests by foot or resort shuttle at all times.

A beautiful, intimate, and tranquil resort with jaw-dropping views.

Calabash Cove Resort & Spa

Calabash Cove Resort & Spa is a relaxing, intimate and peaceful boutique resort in St Lucia with incredible wow-factor Caribbean Sea views.

Wow-factor views

Our taxi pulled up to the entrance of luxury resort Calabash Cove Resort & Spa in St Lucia, and we immediately got a sense that something more than a bit special lay beyond the gleaming lobby. It was a real pull back the curtain moment as we walked down the steps, towards the quite spectacular Windsong Restaurant, when the glorious panoramic, and what must be one of the best views in St Lucia, revealed itself. Designer pool with its amazing forty-foot Caribbean infinity edge directly underneath, cottages and suites dotted around the vibrant lush grounds of the property, and the dazzling Bonaire Bay and coastline stretching into the emerald waters of the Caribbean Sea beyond.

The resort is woven into the tropical hillside with new jaw-dropping angles and delights coming into the spotlight as you make your way down towards the shore. The infinity pool up close is stunning; the accommodation, which feels nicely spread across the property, includes Balinese mahogany Water’s Edge Cottages, Swim-Up Jr. Suites, and Sunset Ocean View Jr. Suites. With just 26 rooms in total Calabash Cove is an intimate boutique place to stay. As well as having those wow-factor views there’s also an air of tranquillity and calm that can be felt throughout the resort; it really is the place to be to completely escape it all. At the bottom of the hill is a secluded, beautiful palm-fringed sandy beach with a wooden pier.

With its stunning ocean views, incredible sunsets and intimate, relaxed ambiance Calabash Cove is a great option for a romantic getaway and an understandably popular choice for a St Lucia honeymoon resort.

Sandals Halcyon Beach

Sandals Halcyon Beach is a beautiful and relaxing luxury beach resort located on the northwest of the island.

Romantic honeymoon destination

Sandals Halcyon Beach is located on the northwest of the island not far from the port city and capital, Castries, but far enough away to feel like you’re sharing the entire island with no one else but the other guests at this adult-only resort.

Classic French-Caribbean architecture, six restaurants and seven bars on site, and another 21 additional restaurants and seemingly countless bars you have access to at nearby Sandals Grande St Lucian and Sandals Regency La Toc, a gorgeous peaceful unspoiled sandy beach that seems to change a different beautiful shade depending on the weather and time of day – Sandals Halcyon is an idyllic, luxurious and relaxing resort to visit for your honeymoon.

We think it’s the feeling like you’re vacationing on your own personal stretch of paradise, the lush gardens, and tranquil tropical seaside location combined with the convenience of having so many great options for food and drink that make Sandals Halycon Beach one of our absolute favourite resorts, anywhere. It’s also a fantastic base from which to explore St Lucia.

A popular and beautiful St Lucia honeymoon resort spread across the 220-acre La Toc Estate.

Sandals Regency La Toc

Great variety in a wonderful setting looking out onto an idyllic bay and the emerald waters of the Caribbean Sea.

Variety and luxury

As soon as we passed through the lobby and out into the resort proper it immediately felt like we had so many options for where to go, what to see, what to do, and – top of our priority list – food and drink. Whether it was a delicious Island Jerk Chicken by the beautiful golden sand beach, watching the waves break on the crescent-shaped shore, cocktails by the lively and fun main pool, or romantic dining at authentic Italian restaurant Armando’s, high up on the bluff overlooking the spectacular bay and emerald waters of the Caribbean Sea beyond, everywhere had a different feel and vibe to it. Something we feel Sandals does especially well is to create variety, and different spaces to enjoy depending on your mood and what you’re looking for. If you feel like a more romantic and tranquil swim you can head to one of the two more secluded pools a bit higher up in the resort. You can also get private curtained cabanas for two with a view of the beach. And if you really want to splash out on your honeymoon go for the stunning Sunset Oceanview Bluff Millionaire Butler Villa with Private Pool Sanctuary or Sunset Bluff Honeymoon Oceanfront One Bedroom Butler Villa Suite with Private Pool.

Set on the 220-acre La Toc Estate, Sandals Regency La Toc offers an incredible setting for a St Lucia honeymoon, with a myriad of options for romantic moments such as private candlelight dining on the beach, in a garden or on your terrace, plus 9 restaurants on site and 8 bars – and access to nearby Sandals Halcyon Beach and Sandals Grande St Lucian, and all of the restaurants, bars and beaches at those resorts too.

Sandals Regency La Toc St Lucia

Beautiful beach and spectacular views.

Sandals Grande St Lucian

Incredible views and a mile-long sandy white beach make this a great option for a St Lucia honeymoon resort.

Picturesque beach setting

We’ve picked all three Sandals resorts in St Lucia for this list as all of them offer a slightly different experience and all three are great options for a St Lucia honeymoon resort. The thing we loved most about Sandals Grande St Lucian was its mile-long white sand beach, and its proximity to Pigeon Island, which, in our opinion, is a must-visit from wherever you’re staying.

Located on Rodney Bay, which is said to have the calmest waters in St Lucia, the resort sits on its own peninsula. The views, especially from the beach, of the volcanic mountains and lush green hills rising from the emerald waters, and from the remains of the old fort on a hilltop on Pigeon Island, where you get a panoramic of the entire peninsula, both the Atlantic and Caribbean sides, are spectacular.

Other highlights of this resort include the overwater bungalows, 5 pools, the swings and hammocks in the shallows where the sea meets the shore, the incredible variety of restaurants – Sandals Grande has 12 to choose from, more than Sandals Halcyon Beach and Sandals Regency La Toc (and you do of course get access to those too). Our favourite was the picturesque Jerk Shack next to the beach. The food is described as authentic Jamaican jerk and it’s delicious.

Ti Kaye Resort & Spa

A rustic, secluded, intimate St Lucia retreat.

Inspired by nature

Nestled along the cliff side, adult-only resort Ti Kaye overlooks the serene waters and beautiful silver and black sand of Anse Cochon beach below. With just 33 charming cottages Ti Kaye offers a boutique, secluded and rustic option for a relaxing and intimate St Lucia honeymoon.

The resort is often described as ‘inspired by nature’; each cottage, or ‘ti kaye’ (Creole for ‘little house’), is purposely built for stunning sunset views over the Caribbean Sea. Equipped with modern amenities and some unusual quirks, guests are invited to unplug, indulge and unwind.

There are 11 Ocean View Cottages with Pools, and these are located closest to the cliff’s edge offering the best, unhindered views and more privacy. These cottages have the largest private deck out of the three room categories, as well as a private plunge pool.

Anse Chastanet’s scenic location, classic Caribbean charm and legendary hospitality make it one of St. Lucia’s most desirable honeymoon hideaway resorts.

Anse Chastanet

Anse Chastanet enjoys one of the Caribbean’s most panoramic settings in a private 600 acre estate near the quaint town of Soufriere, St.Lucia

Romantic honeymoon resort

Architect owner Nick Troubetzkoy believes passionately in nature. So he created a hotel that makes the foliage and the flowers, the perfumes and the peaks, the sea and the bird song an integral part of your vacation experience. The estate encompasses 600 lush tropical acres bordering two soft sand beaches. Not only do you get a World Heritage Site anchored by the twin peaks on land, the resort’s two crystal-clear bays are part of a designated marine reserve protecting miles of colorful coral reefs teeming with tropical fish.

A dozen rooms are tucked in behind the coconut palms that line the beach and the remainder tiptoe up a flower decked hillside. To make the most of the panoramic views and the refreshing tradewinds octagonal whitewashed cottages come with wraparound flower draped balconies and louvered windows.

There is a casual beachside bar and restaurant; on the hillside, a panoramic hillside lounge and two treehouses provide the romantic setting for candlelit dinners, with musical backdrops by local entertainers. Tranquility, romance and adventure. An amazing setting for a St Lucia honeymoon.
