“Where do I begin…. The scenery speaks for itself, but what separated this resort from the others is the hospitality. Vienney, Leah, and Rosemary, were only a handful of humble and caring staff who were beyond accommodating. Their level of service was unmatched and would without a doubt bring us back to this resort in a heartbeat.” Tripadvisor Review

Best food & drink

1. Roast conch

Executive Chef Nigel Mitchel and his staff are dedicated to showcasing fresh native ingredients from island farmers and neighboring plantations that grow their produce primarily for the resort. Chef Nigel’s cooking renders stylish interpretations of traditional St. Lucian dishes, including roast conch with pickled vegetables served in a yam basket.

2. Plantain gratin

Served with a coconut rum sauce.

3. Dasheene special

Dashene has a great cocktail list including the Dasheene Special with Lucian Rum, Blue Caracao, banana and coconut cream.

Relax

The best activity at the Ladera Resort is to simply sit, lay, bathe and unwind while the lightly scented tropical breeze washes over you and you drink in your unreal surroundings. It’s not every day you get to swim in the open air while the iconic Piton spires rise from the stunning Caribbean Sea right in front of you after all.

And if you fancy a light shuffle, not too far of course, from your room and to sample another stunning view along with award-winning St Lucian cuisine you can spend an hour or two in Dasheene, trying their amazing range of cocktails and locally sourced foods.

Explore

When you’re staying at the Ladera Resort the setting really is unique, which means there’s plenty to see and do right on your doorstep.

There are complimentary tours of the Ladera Gardens, guided nature tours, yoga classes and sunrise meditation sessions.

If you feel like venturing further afield you can go beach horse-back riding, sailing and snorkelling, dolphin and whale watching or even spend a day visiting nearby Martinique. And on Fridays you can join the popular street party in Anse La Raye, with plenty of seafood, drinks and entertainment.

Indulge

The food and drink available at the Ladera Resort is locally sourced and lovingly prepared, and almost as spellbinding as the views.

During your stay you can attend a mixology class and learn how to make one of Dasheene’s signature tropical cocktails, as well as a chef’s cooking demonstration to uncover the secrets behind one of the exquisite Caribbean specialities you’ll find on Dasheene’s menu. There is also a guided market tour on Saturday mornings where you can get a close up look at the huge variety of fruits and vegetables grown on the island.
