“A perfect week at Sugar Beach St Lucia. My wife and I have been to many Caribbean islands where we have stayed at resorts and private homes. Sugar Beach is incomparable. The location of the resort, nestled in between the two volcanic ‘pitons’, is unrivaled for natural beauty and dramatic scenery. The property is an island within an island. The back-drop is a lush rainforest dotted with discretely sited private cottages. The foreground is a magnificent, protected, private bay and beach. Each residence has a unique view of the sea, vegetation and sky. Each one has ample and well-designed indoor and outdoor spaces.
“The quality of service at Sugar Beach exists in no other resort. A private butler is on call 24/7. The staff in the restaurants, at the beach and in the spa is professional, attentive, kind, amiable and eager to please. The menus at The Great House would rate ***** in any city. The English chef, who came to our table because we had raved about her to our waiters, was delightful to engage in conversation. Her gastronomic credentials were first-rate.
Sugar Beach is unique in every measurement of resort/hotel qualities. There is no more pleasant, beautiful, happy place to spend one’s holidays.” Tripadvisor Review

Spa
Harnessing the nourishing properties of nearby volcanic springs and fertile cocoa plantations, the Rainforest Spa offers a range of signature treatments – in addition to nourishing rituals from Natura Bisse, and indulgent products from Swiss line, Valmont – designed to connect guests to Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort’s very special location.
There are seven traditionally built tree house treatment rooms at the Rainforest Spa, a wetroom with manicure and pedicure facilities, a relaxation pavilion, and an earthen Amerindian steam dome—known as a temascal—which reconnects the spa to the island’s earliest settlers.
Treatments are designed to be as nourishing on the outside of the body as their ingredients are on the inside. Free from chemicals, these all-natural rituals utilize the bounty of St Lucia’s natural world, unleashing beauty secrets the islanders have known for centuries. Bananas, the local pride, to firm, tighten and smooth away wrinkles; coconut to exfoliate; aloe vera to rejuvenate; and rich cocoa butter to heal and hydrate.

Calabash Cove Resort & Spa, St Lucia
It’s hard to describe the first impressions of Calabash Cove Resort & Spa in a way that will do the first few steps, and that view, justice, but the closest thing we can liken it to is taking a slow, deep breath and then feeling your whole body begin to relax as you exhale.
Zoetry Marigot Bay, St Lucia
Looking down at Marigot Bay from the meandering island road in the St Lucian hills above as we approached the resort, with its sparkling waters and dramatic rainforest backdrop, was a spectacular way to get reaquainted.
The Lone Star Hotel & Restaurant, Barbados
It really says something that the design of The Lone Star Hotel & Restaurant is so impressive that your gaze is torn between its sleek white structure, and the mesmeric beach it’s nestled on.
