Outbound Park City has opened reservations for stays from 1 April 2027, ahead of its planned early-2027 debut in Utah’s Wasatch Mountains.
The 180-room retreat will occupy a 4.5-acre site, with mountain views and a redesign that gives outdoor gathering spaces a central role. Plans include a pool courtyard and a separate après courtyard, alongside refreshed guestrooms built to accommodate adventure kit.
Outbound Hotels announced the reservation launch on 23 September. The official opening date will be announced separately, so 1 April is the first date currently available to book, rather than a confirmed opening day.
For April and May stays, the introductory Summit Club promotion includes a welcome drink, an opening credit for eligible purchases and a discount of up to 20% from the best available rate. The announcement also provides more detail on the hotel’s design and identifies its two dining and drinking venues.

A new chapter for The Yarrow
Outbound Park City is a reimagining of the former DoubleTree by Hilton Park City – The Yarrow, with guestrooms and shared spaces being redesigned around the brand’s outdoor-focused approach.
The address is 1800 Park Avenue, in central Park City. The location has access to Historic Main Street and the area’s mountain resorts, with the complimentary city shuttle route providing another way to get around.
Outbound announced the Park City project in January, describing a comprehensive reimagining of the property. That announcement established the mountain-basecamp concept and plans for outdoor gathering spaces. September’s update moves the project into its booking phase, with Billy & Co and June Bar now named as part of the hotel’s line-up.
Elsewhere in the destination, the recently opened Canopy Deer Valley brought another 180 rooms to Deer Valley’s East Village in September. Outbound’s Park Avenue address is a separate location, giving these two additions to the broader Park City hotel offering different settings.
Nordic-inspired design and gear-ready rooms
The Gettys Group is continuing its design partnership with Outbound Hotels on the Park City property. The brief brings Nordic design and mountain culture together with the brand’s warm, contemporary use of materials and craftsmanship.
Outbound describes a scheme that combines natural materials with a warm, layered feel, while maintaining connections to the outdoors throughout the redesign. Those influences give the project a clear mountain setting without tying its identity solely to winter. The company’s plans carry that outdoor emphasis from the guestrooms into the courtyards, where much of the shared guest experience will take place.
Built-in storage is part of the refreshed guestrooms, alongside layouts intended to accommodate outdoor gear. It is a useful detail in the announcement: space for kit is being treated as part of the room design itself. The rooms will provide the private retreat within a property that also makes substantial provision for spending time outside and gathering with other guests.
A pool courtyard and a separate après space
Two expansive courtyards will give the hotel distinct outdoor settings. One is designed as an interior retreat, with a new pool and hot tub surrounded by cabanas, loungers and soft landscaping. Relaxation is the focus here, with places to settle beside the water as well as get into it.
The dedicated après courtyard has a more social brief. Communal seating and fire pits will be joined by outdoor games and designated spaces for events and live music. Outbound is building space for guests to gather into the property’s layout, extending the hotel experience beyond the rooms and indoor venues.
The separation gives each courtyard a clear purpose. The pool area centres on downtime, while the après space accommodates entertainment and socialising. Both are part of the year-round concept, even though the après name carries an obvious association with the end of a ski day. The announcement presents them as shared guest spaces throughout the hotel’s wider outdoor-focused programme.
Inside, the hotel will provide more than 11,000 square feet of space for meetings and prefunction use. Meetings and celebrations are both part of the plan, giving the hotel a role as an events venue as well as a place to stay. Those facilities sit alongside the outdoor areas intended for live music and social occasions, broadening the ways the property can host groups.
Billy & Co and June Bar
Billy & Co will be the hotel’s contemporary mountain diner, serving familiar all-day classics and comfort food with playful variations. Outbound’s description places it firmly in the casual part of the stay: somewhere to refuel throughout the day within the hotel.
June Bar will have a separate identity, pairing a refined style with Park City’s rugged character. Its drinks programme will focus on carefully composed cocktails, accompanied by an extensive selection, with the company aiming to give each visit a distinct feel.
Outbound’s growing collection of outdoor stays
“Park City is an exciting opportunity for us to bring the Outbound experience to one of the country’s most iconic four-season mountain destinations,” said Matthew Mering, President at Waterton and Co-Founder of Outbound Hotels.
The brand already operates The Virginian Lodge in Jackson Hole, Wyoming; Outbound Mammoth in Mammoth Lakes, California; Outbound Stowe in Stowe, Vermont; and Outbound Sedona in Sedona, Arizona. New properties in Yosemite, California, and Park City are listed as opening soon.
Outbound’s stated approach combines access to outdoor destinations with the amenities and design travellers want when they return to their hotel. Its activities span hiking, biking, skiing, climbing and swimming, with comfort and shared spaces forming the other side of the stay.
Outbound Hotels is owned by Waterton and operated in partnership with CoralTree Hospitality. The January announcement also identified Park City as the fourth collaboration between Waterton and Barings, as the firms expanded their investment partnership.
Booking dates and the Summit Club offer
Reservations are available for stays beginning 1 April 2027. Outbound continues to describe the planned debut as early 2027, with the formal opening date to follow in a separate announcement. Anyone planning an earlier stay will need that update before treating an earlier arrival as available.
For stays from 1 April through 31 May 2027, the Summit Club offer includes a room-rate discount of up to 20% off the best available rate, as well as an opening credit and a welcome drink. The credit is for eligible purchases, a condition to keep in mind when considering the offer.
Reservations and offer details are available through Outbound Park City’s website. Guests can also subscribe to the hotel’s newsletter for opening news and special offers.
