Truly connecting with a destination rather than just visiting. It is about fully immersing yourself in the culture, history, food and drinks.

Ricardo Esteban, General Manager, Zoetry Marigot Bay

5-star luxury accommodations, immersed in lush natural surroundings, a beautiful tropical spa made up of chic cabins, and a world-class marina make Zoetry Marigot Bay one of the most spectacular boutique hotels in St Lucia.

Experiential travel

With 124 spacious accommodations weaved into and around the lush green St Lucian hillside offering gorgeous views of the mountain, bay or vibrant gardens Zoetry Marigot Bay is one of the world’s most beautiful hotels.

We asked General Manager, Ricardo Esteban, for his thoughts on which luxury travel trends will be big in 2024. He said: “Firstly, sustainable luxury: sustainability in any industry has been trending for many years and it is no different in the luxury travel space. In fact, it is increasing. Our guests are becoming more conscious of their environmental impact, they are asking about best practices, and our hotels are responding by offering sustainable and eco-conscious experiences.

Secondly, experiential travel: this is huge, and I do not see this slowing down anytime soon. Truly connecting with a destination rather than just visiting. It is about fully immersing yourself in the culture, history, food and drinks.

Thirdly, wellness and health-focused amenities: luxury travellers are placing a higher value on wellness and health during their vacations. Spa services embracing local products and sensations, and wellness programs into their offerings. In our hotel, this includes personalized fitness classes, healthy dining options with customized menus with our executive culinary team, and spa treatments that focus on relaxation and rejuvenation, again, focusing on individual guest experience; not a one size fits all approach. We bring in wellness experts when required.

Finally, personalized experiences through technology: with AI being such a massive focus, highly personalized experiences are necessary for guests. Technology is playing a key role in enhancing the luxury travel experience. How amazing it will be to automate custom experiences based on a person per person preference, in-room automation… another big luxury travel trend which will continue beyond 2024.”

The 2024 luxury travel year will highlight the increasing demand and need for disconnected and intentional community and fellowship.

Ryan Sheldon, Experience Director, Sheldon Chalet

Perched on a nunatak in the Don Sheldon Amphitheater of Denali Alaska’s magnificent Ruth Glacier, just 10 miles from the summit, Sheldon Chalet is more than a place to stay, it’s an exclusive experience of grand proportion.

Peace and serenity

Sheldon Chalet is as unique as the surroundings are breathtaking. Guests arrive by helicopter and emerge over a mountain ridge to see a vast snowy amphitheater ringed by some of the tallest mountains in the Northern Hemisphere.

We asked Sheldon Chalet’s Experience Director Rob Sheldon what luxury travel trends would be big in 2024. He said: “The 2024 luxury travel year will highlight the increasing demand and need for disconnected and intentional community and fellowship. As the demands of the rapidly connecting world increase year over year (seemingly day over day) finding a sliver of peace and serenity is becoming increasingly difficult. At Sheldon Chalet, guests will not simply find a sliver of peace, serenity and solitude; but rather experience the whole pie as we continually provide families, friends and colleagues alike a world-renowned destination to disconnect from the outside world, and reconnect with one another amongst earth’s greatest landscapes providing a sense of nostalgia for days gone by when we could breathe a little more, live a little more and find fellowship a little more; in contrast to today’s haphazard and busy life.”
