Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur has announced a 2026 festive calendar featuring batik painting, Malaysian-inspired cocktails and celebrations overlooking the capital’s skyline.

Running from Thanksgiving on November 26 through New Year’s Day, the programme spreads its events across The Lounge, Curate, Yun House, Bar Trigona and the Pool Bar & Grill. Guests can choose between afternoon tea, expansive buffets, Cantonese dining and a cocktail-led countdown.

Set above Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle, Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur offers views across KLCC Park while keeping the city centre close at hand. Its seasonal programme gives familiar celebrations a local identity through batik, Sabah lobster, beef rendang and ingredients such as hibiscus, calamansi and Trigona honey.

“There is something truly special about welcoming our guests for the holidays,” Simon Barnett, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur, said. “Led by our team’s creativity and care, the festive spirit is shared through cherished rituals, local touches, and intuitive service that makes each moment feel personal and memorable. We look forward to sharing another unforgettable season together.”

Festive afternoon tea pairs pastries with batik painting

Available throughout December at The Lounge, the Festive Afternoon Tea with Batik Painting combines a refined hotel ritual with hands-on Malaysian craft. Guests will be able to paint batik while working through a menu of seasonal sweet and savoury creations, accompanied by tea or coffee.

The sweets bring playful Christmas references to the pastry stand. Winter Wonderland Opera comes with Earl Grey frost, Santa’s Choux is filled with cinnamon whip ganache, and Polar Express features eggnog mousse.

Among the savouries are Sabah lobster terrine and foie gras praline, along with a beef rendang croquette finished with truffle and nasturtium, as the menu moves towards richer flavours. The menu gives the tea a Malaysian identity while retaining its festive character.

The new experience follows the hotel’s Jewels of Malaysia Afternoon Tea, introduced in May 2026 with Harumanis mango, pandan kaya, Malaysian cacao and Musang King durian among its featured ingredients. That earlier menu established The Lounge as a setting for contemporary pastry shaped by regional produce, while the December edition extends the theme into Malaysian decorative craft.

The Festive Afternoon Tea with Batik Painting will run from December 1 to 31. A price has not yet been published in the announcement.

Five festive drinks bring local flavours to each venue

Beverage Manager Alexandre Renoue will mark his first festive season in Kuala Lumpur with five drinks, each designed for one of the hotel’s dining venues. Renoue arrived from Nashville and was appointed to lead the beverage programme at Bar Trigona in 2026.

The collection ranges from spirit-forward winter flavours to light alcohol-free combinations:

  • Festive Bloom at Curate combines hibiscus with cranberry and local calamansi.
  • Golden Winter at Yun House brings together cognac, jasmine, mandarin and ginger.
  • Pain d’Hiver at Bar Trigona uses bourbon, brown butter, French cake spices and Trigona honey to recall gingerbread.
  • Christmas in the Tropics at the Pool Bar & Grill is a spirit-free mix of fruit, coconut water and kaffir lime.
  • Winter Rose at The Lounge is another alcohol-free option, combining white tea with pear, rose and vanilla.

Bar Trigona, the hotel’s cocktail bar with a drinks programme centred on Malaysian ingredients, ranked No. 38 in Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2026. Its festive schedule includes a separate Handpicked by Trigona – Winter Harvest Edition, available from December 1 to 31 for MYR 68 per cocktail.

Thanksgiving opens the dining calendar

Curate, the hotel’s international dining venue, begins the main celebrations with a Thanksgiving dinner buffet on November 26. Whole roast turkey and roasted prime rib anchor the generous menu, designed for a shared evening meal.

The restaurant then offers its month-long Festive Buffet from November 27 to December 23, returning from December 26 to 30. Among the announced dishes are beef short ribs braised in Stroganoff sauce and a Yule Log with forest berries.

Lunch costs MYR 220 per adult and MYR 110 per child. Dinner is priced at MYR 280 per adult and MYR 140 per child.

Christmas dining spans Curate and Yun House

On December 24 and 25, Curate will host the hotel’s large-scale Christmas celebrations with live music, carollers and an appearance by Santa Claus. The menu combines traditional favourites with seafood and tableside theatre.

Cantonese steamed lobster, Beef Wellington and a 20-kilogram yellowfin tuna are among the headline dishes. A giant Yule Log will travel through the restaurant before being sliced and served at guests’ tables.

The hotel’s Christmas programme positions Curate as the central venue for Christmas Eve dinner, followed by breakfast, brunch and dinner on Christmas Day. Its lively format should suit families seeking a broad choice and a traditional hotel celebration.

For a quieter alternative, Michelin-selected Yun House will serve a Cantonese Christmas set menu on both days. Chef Jimmy Wong’s menu will combine rare ingredients with local flavours and modern interpretations of established dishes. Prices for the Christmas meals at Curate and Yun House were not included in the initial announcement.

Bar Trigona and Curate offer different New Year celebrations

Bar Trigona will welcome 2027 with an adults-oriented countdown built around free-flow prosecco, selected cocktails and a live DJ. Its intimate city setting and cocktail programme will suit guests who want drinks to lead the evening.

At Curate, New Year’s Eve takes a family-focused approach, with the evening beginning with a buffet dinner and concluding with a midnight countdown. An Imperial Caviar station and Teochew-style lobster will feature on the menu, with seafood as a central focus.

Celebrations continue at Curate on January 1, 2027, with live music accompanying buffet service at brunch and dinner.

Travellers considering a resort celebration can also explore the Four Seasons Resort Langkawi festive programme. Running from December 21 to January 7, the separate island calendar centres on beachfront dining, mangrove safaris, family activities and Geo Spa experiences.

Festive food can also be ordered for home

Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur will offer takeaway collections for private celebrations around the city. Thanksgiving orders open on November 1, with collection available from November 23 to December 31 through the hotel website.

Pre-orders for festive cakes and pastries also open on November 1, with pickup available throughout December. The collections offer hosts Four Seasons dishes for celebrations at home.
