Four Seasons Resort Langkawi will run its 2026–27 festive programme from December 21 to January 7, bringing Malaysian celebrations, wellness rituals and nature-led activities to its Andaman Sea beachfront.
Set within Malaysia’s first UNESCO Global Geopark, the luxury resort stretches along a mile of sand between tropical forest and the sea. Its festive schedule combines Christmas traditions with local dining, a Malaysian-inspired New Year’s Eve event, mangrove safaris and new Geo Spa immersions lasting from one to seven nights.
The Langkawi UNESCO Global Geopark covers 92,000 hectares across an archipelago of 99 islands, around 30 kilometres from mainland Malaysia in the Malacca Strait. Its landscape includes beaches, mountains covered by forest, extensive mangroves and limestone formations, while rocks in the Machinchang mountain range are more than 550 million years old.
Christmas and Malam Nusantara on the beach
The festive programme is due to open with a Christmas tree lighting ceremony beside the beach. Dinner will follow at Serai, the resort’s oceanfront restaurant, where holiday classics will sit alongside local favourites with panoramic views across the Andaman Sea.
On Christmas morning, Santa Claus is scheduled to visit younger guests. The resort’s seasonal page also previews holiday crafts, beach games and family activities, although its wider 2026 events schedule remains marked as subject to confirmation.
New Year’s Eve will centre on Malam Nusantara, translated by the resort as “Night of the Archipelago”. Planned along the shoreline, the evening will draw on Langkawi’s natural and cultural heritage through Malaysian-inspired design, dining and entertainment.
The resort’s seasonal page describes a countdown party on Serai Beach with gourmet food, music and fireworks. As those online details are still labelled to be confirmed, guests should check the final schedule when booking.
Seafood, tandoori dishes and Malaysian flavours
Festive dining will move between Serai and Kelapa Grill, the resort’s relaxed beachfront seafood restaurant and steakhouse. Seafood Nights at Kelapa Grill will serve fresh catches outdoors, with tables arranged directly on the sand and the sea only a few steps away.
At Serai, The Indian Table will focus on tandoori cooking, while the Spice Route Festival will follow the flavours and fragrant spices of North India. The restaurant’s regular menu combines international dishes with Malaysian favourites, including rotating versions of roti canai.
Serai also serves a generous breakfast selection that includes nasi lemak and congee alongside familiar international options. Kelapa Grill shifts the mood towards open-air evening dining, pairing local Langkawi seafood with steaks cooked over flame.
Sound healing and new Geo Spa immersions
The Geo Spa, which draws on Langkawi’s landscape, will host a New Year’s Eve Sound Healing Ritual before the celebrations begin. Its lotus pond and mangrove setting are also used for hammock-based sessions, which progress from gentle stretching into singing-bowl sound work.
Parents and children will be able to book a family spa treatment, while a Nature Treasure Hunt will combine outdoor discovery with simple wellness exercises. Parents can also join a sunset sound bath at the Adult Quiet Pool as younger guests spend time at Lutong Kids Club.
Daily workshops will invite guests to make natural self-care products from flowers, spices, herbs and essential oils. These festive activities reflect the spa’s broader framework, which is organised around four living elements of Langkawi: Earth, Forest, Water and Energy.
The resort has also introduced three structured wellness immersions that can be added to any stay. Each one also gives guests entry to the resort’s daily programme of group classes and workshops, with programmes ranging from a short introduction to a week-long renewal plan.
The one-to-three-night Well-Being Escape starts from MYR 15,455 per person. Designed with first-time wellness guests in mind, it brings together a lifestyle consultation, therapeutic massage, mindful practices and tailored bodywork.
The three-to-five-night Stress Relief Immersion starts from MYR 30,096 per person. Its schedule is designed around fatigue, sleep and mental well-being, with restorative massage alongside consultations, nightly rest amenities, herbal rituals and therapy involving sound.
The five-to-seven-night Longevity Renewal Immersion starts from MYR 55,312 per person. Breathwork and meditation are combined with therapeutic massage, movement designed to integrate the body and mind, and a personalised guide that guests can use after returning home.

“With our new immersions, guests can experience elemental well-being at their own pace, supported by the wisdom and warmth of our talented practitioners,” Pena said.
Mangrove safaris and island adventures
Beyond the spa, excursions through Langkawi’s coastal ecosystems will be guided by local naturalists alongside water-sports instructors. A boat safari will enter the mangroves, where guests may spot walking fish, otters, monkeys and eagles, before continuing to the Geopark Discovery Centre within the resort.
The centre gives families more context for the ancient formations and wildlife encountered on the water. For younger guests, the mangrove experience becomes a floating classroom with opportunities to look for macaques and eagles while learning about the forest’s role in the coastal environment.
A guided jet-ski tour will visit smaller islands along the coast, offering a faster perspective on Langkawi’s sheltered bays and forested outcrops. Inland, a cycling route will pass traditional villages, rice fields, waterfalls and quieter rural landscapes.
Lutong Kids Club caters to children aged four to 12, with activities that include batik painting, kite making, children’s yoga and eco-excursions. Families can also visit the Geopark Discovery Centre, use the resort pools or try mini rock climbing and abseiling on a natural limestone outcrop.
Beach villas for extended families
Four Seasons Resort Langkawi’s private villas are designed to keep families close while providing separate bedrooms and generous outdoor space. Private pools, complimentary bicycles and in-villa wellness sessions make them suited to longer festive stays.
The Family Beach Villa includes separate master and junior bedrooms and a plunge pool, with a full-size pool available in the Premier category. It is arranged for families travelling with children under 12.
Larger groups can choose the Premier Two-Bedroom Beach Villa with Pool, which has an additional sleeping area intended for a nanny. The Royal Two-Bedroom Beach Villa occupies 1,400 square metres at one end of the beach and accommodates up to six guests.
For an extended-family gathering, the Imperial Five-Bedroom Beach Villa spans 4,810 square metres. Its indoor-outdoor layout includes two ocean-facing pools and a private cabana, offering space between the resort’s scheduled celebrations.
Villa benefits include return transfers from Langkawi International Airport, a one-time minibar on arrival, hot-drink facilities and premium Wi-Fi. Guests can also arrange spa treatments in the villa, along with sound baths and private yoga and meditation sessions.
