The Tetons make a rather lovely backdrop for a holiday that moves between mountain runs, fireside cocktails and gingerbread-house construction. At Four Seasons Resort and Residences Jackson Hole, the forthcoming festive season has room for all three, with ski-in/ski-out access and a calendar stretching from Thanksgiving to New Year’s Eve.
Four Seasons announced its 2026 holiday celebrations on 1 October, bringing together seasonal dining, complimentary family activities and several tempting ways to spend the hours after skiing. The resort’s home in Teton Village adds its own traditions, including Santa’s Christmas Eve arrival from the tram and New Year’s Eve fireworks.

Start with the slopes
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is set to open for winter on Friday 27 November 2026, with skiing and snowboarding available on Rendezvous Mountain. Four Seasons guests can reach the slopes from the resort, while its Ski Concierge handles rentals, retail and personalised assistance.
Beginner options include Eagle’s Rest, Pooh Bear, Lower Teewinot, Lower Werner and Antelope Flats, alongside the Kid’s Adventure Trail. The mountain’s Family Zones promote a more measured pace in beginner and high-traffic areas. For younger learners, Kids Ranch offers private and group lessons from age three, with adventure trails adding an element of exploration to their time on the snow.
The resort will once again manage daily mountain capacity. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort also says lift reservations will be required for Ikon Pass and Mountain Collective passholders during the 2026–27 season, so anyone travelling with those passes should factor that into their plans.
Champagne, cocktails and a warming fire
Ascent Lounge pairs cocktails and light bites with views of skiers and snowboarders coming down the mountain. A warming fire completes the picture: somewhere to settle into that very pleasant stretch between the last run and dinner.
The Après Dome is scheduled to open from 18 December, with hours of 3–7pm each evening. Its menu will include Champagne by the glass or bottle, speciality cocktails and light bites, and private bookings are possible for winter celebrations.
Resort guests also have exclusive access to 80 Proof, the speakeasy being dressed for the holidays with festive décor, seasonal cocktails and small bites. From late December, mixologist Jhett Brown will present the “12 Days of Festive Cocktails” series.
Festive meals at Steadfire Chophouse
Steadfire Chophouse will serve a family-style Thanksgiving spread on Thursday 26 November, with turkey, the trimmings and seasonal pies. It’s priced at US$125 per person and US$55 for children aged five to 12. With the mountain scheduled to open the following day, the meal could make a generous beginning to an early-season ski break.
On 24 and 25 December, holiday entrées and desserts will be available à la carte alongside Steadfire’s regular menu, allowing families to choose their own celebratory meal.
New Year’s Eve brings a four-course seasonal menu curated by executive chef Michael Goralski. Dinner costs US$250 per person, with children ordering à la carte.
Ascent Lounge is holding its own New Year’s Eve event for US$115 per person, with cocktails and bites accompanied by an alpine soundtrack. Reservations aren’t necessary, but seating will be limited.
Christmas crafts and family traditions
Thanksgiving activities begin on Wednesday 25 November. Children aged four and over can join supervised crafts from 5–6pm, while trivia runs at the same time for adults and children aged 10 and over. Family bingo follows on Thanksgiving Day, 26 November, from 3–4pm. All three are complimentary.
For the fourth year, the resort will hold its holiday tree lighting on Friday 4 December at 6.30pm, with complimentary hot cocoa and seasonal treats. Four Seasons will also hold its Hanukkah celebrations from 4–12 December, with nightly menorah lighting and complimentary latkes.
The Christmas programme gathers pace on Wednesday 23 December: families can decorate ornaments from 1–2pm, followed by Santa portraits from 3–4pm. Both activities are complimentary. A seasonal pop-up children’s activity room will also form part of the resort’s wider complimentary programme, giving younger guests another option between the dated festivities.
On Christmas Eve, guests can get presents wrapped at no charge from 10am–1pm, and a concierge offering present-wrapping help will be available from 18–24 December. A little help with that particular holiday task sounds especially welcome. Later on 24 December, guests can build gingerbread houses with the pastry team from 4–5pm; the activity is complimentary, but reservations are required 24 hours ahead. Complimentary Christmas Eve Mass begins at 5.30pm.
Christmas Day rounds out the craft calendar with complimentary family cookie decorating from 4.30–5.30pm.
Santa and fireworks in Teton Village
Teton Village has Christmas Eve plans of its own. Guests can skate with Santa on the village rink on 24 December, then gather beneath the tram for his arrival, Jackson Hole-style. Children can leave letters in Santa’s special mailbox, and the evening’s celebrations include skating and s’mores.
The mountain resort’s New Year’s Eve programme includes the children’s Glow Worm Parade, followed by a staff-only Torchlight Parade and fireworks. Children taking part in the Glow Worm Parade can load the Sweetwater Gondola between 4.30pm and 5.15pm, with the parade scheduled to begin at 5.30pm. Participation is free and no advance sign-up is required. The torchlight procession is expected at about 6pm, with fireworks afterwards.
A quieter moment at the spa
The winter solstice on Monday 21 December brings a complimentary gathering for resort guests, combining restorative yoga, fireside reflection and a seasonal drink. The wider complimentary calendar also features yoga sessions and fitness classes, workshops on mocktails and cocktails, tours of the resort’s art collection that guests can explore on their own, and whiskey tastings.
The spa’s seasonal treatment menu includes the 90-minute Golden Body Quench, which combines a firming collagen mask with nourishing oils and a sugar scrub, leaving a subtle shimmer.
The Golden Repair Facial launches on 1 December and also lasts 90 minutes. Designed for mature or dry skin, it includes gentle exfoliation and a Gold Hydralifting Mask, followed by gold shimmer oil applied to the arms and décolletage. For anyone planning some time away from the holiday bustle, these are the two treatments highlighted in the festive programme.
Bring the family together
Four Seasons’ Villa & Residence Rentals collection offers accommodation options for families and friends travelling together. The newly renovated, five-bedroom Granite Residence is among the spaces available for personalised après-ski parties or dinners.
Groups can also arrange celebrations in Steadfire’s private dining space or privatise 80 Proof for the evening. For accommodation, seasonal packages and offers, contact Four Seasons Resort and Residences Jackson Hole on +1 307 732 5600.
