My Lounge has appointed integrative health coach and yoga teacher Rosie Underwood as its first Wellness Ambassador, with a new pre-flight wellbeing programme launching on 15 October 2026.

Created for guests using the informal airport lounge brand from No1 Lounges, The My Lounge Pre-Flight Reset will offer short practices covering movement, breathwork, mindset, sleep and recovery. Each activity requires no equipment and is designed to fit into the time travellers already spend waiting for a flight.

The year-round digital programme will launch alongside a one-day residency at My Lounge in Gatwick South Terminal on Thursday 15 October. Underwood will lead 15-minute workshops throughout the day and offer guests tailored advice about travel stress, nutrition, movement and fear of flying.

The event follows World Mental Health Day on 10 October and focuses on the pressures that can build before a holiday begins, from early starts and busy terminals to flight anxiety and disrupted sleep.

“For many people, the most stressful part of a holiday happens before they’ve even boarded the plane,” Sharon Jevans, managing director of No1 Lounges, said. “We wanted to create something genuinely useful that helps guests feel calmer, more refreshed and ready to enjoy their trip from the moment they arrive at the airport. Rosie’s approach is practical, accessible and exactly what modern travellers are looking for.”

The My Lounge Pre-Flight Reset

The Pre-Flight Reset is intended to turn part of a standard lounge visit into a brief wellbeing session, without requiring travellers to change clothes, find specialist equipment or follow a lengthy routine.

Guests will be able to access its content throughout the year via the No1 Lounges website. The company says the practices are designed to help travellers slow down before departure and manage some of the physical discomfort associated with spending several hours on an aircraft.

“Travel asks a lot of us before we’ve even left the ground,” Underwood said. “The My Lounge Pre-Flight Reset is about simple tools that help you slow down, reset and arrive feeling better. You don’t need complicated routines or lots of time, sometimes just a few mindful minutes can completely change the way you travel.”

The programme covers five areas of pre-flight wellbeing: movement, breathwork, mindset, sleep and recovery. Its techniques are presented as accessible practices rather than replacements for medical care, and the outcomes described by No1 Lounges have not been independently assessed.

For travellers facing an early departure or a crowded terminal, the format is deliberately compact. A seated mobility sequence can be completed beside a lounge chair, while breathing exercises and guided meditation can be practised without drawing attention in a shared space.

Four workshops at Gatwick South Terminal

During the Gatwick residency, Underwood will host four different 15-minute sessions. Lounge guests can join the workshops and speak to her in person about adapting the techniques to their own journeys.

  • Brain & Heart Coherence: A guided breathing practice using heart focus and emotional-regulation techniques. It is designed to help participants settle their stress response and feel more present before departure.
  • Seated Stretch & Move: A sequence of seated stretches and mobility exercises intended to support circulation and ease stiffness. The movements can be repeated during a flight where space allows.
  • Eat Well, Fly Well: Practical guidance about hydration, digestion and maintaining energy while travelling. The session will also consider what and when to eat before boarding and during a flight.
  • Fear of Flying: Breathwork, practical coping tools and a short guided meditation for people experiencing travel anxiety. Underwood will draw on her experience of learning to fly aircraft as a teenager in the RAF, as well as her work in integrative health coaching.

The sessions cover common pre-flight concerns in 15-minute slots. Travellers can choose the subject most relevant to their journey, whether that is physical stiffness, eating before a long-haul flight or anxiety during take-off.

A relaxed lounge setting at Gatwick

Located after security in Gatwick South Terminal, My Lounge is the laid-back lounge concept within the wider No1 Lounges portfolio. Its Gatwick space has open seating, an outdoor terrace, games room, charging points, Wi-Fi, food and drinks.

The lounge is available to passengers departing from the South Terminal regardless of airline or ticket class. Advance booking is recommended because entry remains subject to capacity.

Unlike the more formal Clubrooms concept, which offers made-to-order dining and tailored service, My Lounge is designed around an informal, self-service atmosphere. The open layout provides a practical setting for short sessions that guests can incorporate into their existing pre-flight routine.

No1 Lounges operates 17 airport lounges across the UK and Channel Islands. Its My Lounge brand is found at Heathrow, Gatwick and Luton, while its flagship No1 Lounges operate at major UK airports and in Jersey.

Rosie Underwood’s wellness background

Underwood is an integrative health coach and yoga teacher who also works as a lifestyle journalist. No1 Lounges says she has trained with more than 85 wellbeing experts and has written for Vogue and Grazia.

Her professional biography describes training in holistic health, together with positive psychology, alongside her work in yoga, coaching and writing. Her early experience learning to fly also informs the session focused on flight anxiety, giving her experience of aviation as both a pilot and passenger.

The Wellness Ambassador role expands My Lounge’s offer beyond its usual combination of refreshments, comfortable seating and space away from the terminal. The programme uses digital guidance and brief activities that can be followed within the existing lounge, without a dedicated spa or treatment area.

Jevans discussed a similar approach in a June 2026 interview with Luxury Lifestyle Magazine, saying airport lounges were placing greater emphasis on layouts and spaces that reflect how passengers use them.

“What we’re seeing is a real shift towards more considered, purpose-built spaces,” Jevans told the publication. “Lounges are being designed around how people actually travel. That means better layout, clearer zoning, higher-quality food and drink, and increasingly, quieter or more restorative areas. Wellness is becoming a bigger part of that – not necessarily in a traditional sense, but through creating environments that help people slow down and recharge before they fly.”

Launch date and lounge bookings

The My Lounge Pre-Flight Reset launches on Thursday 15 October, when Underwood’s residency takes place at Gatwick South Terminal. The programme will then remain available online throughout the year for My Lounge guests.

Pre-booked My Lounge visits start from £38 per person. Travellers planning to attend the Gatwick launch should book lounge access in advance to secure entry on the day.
