Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai has announced a Christmas and New Year programme near Hoi An, Vietnam, running from 22 December 2026 to 1 January 2027.
Santa is due to arrive by sidecar on Christmas morning, while New Year’s Eve will bring a poolside gala with dinner and live entertainment. Between the celebrations, guests can try seasonal spa treatments or head into Hoi An. The resort’s villas sit beside Ha My Beach, giving families and couples space to retreat from the festivities when they choose.
Christmas candlelight and a poolside countdown
The season opens with Thap Nen, a Vietnamese candle-lighting ritual that the resort will pair with the illumination of its Christmas tree. Carols and seasonal cocktails are planned alongside it, bringing a familiar Christmas moment together with a local tradition.
Santa’s sidecar entrance comes on Christmas morning, with gifts for children and families. It sounds like an arrival worth leaving the villa for, even if you’re well past the age of writing a wish list.
On New Year’s Eve, the Midnight Forest Gala will move the celebrations to a poolside dinner beneath tropical foliage. The evening’s look will feature golden masks and fairy-dust details, with live entertainment throughout. Caviar and oysters will be served before a show and the midnight countdown, with signature cocktails on offer too.
The Enchanted Chocolate Garden will be available throughout the festive period. The resort’s pastry chefs are making a showcase of sweet creations drawing on Vietnam’s cacao traditions, so there’s something to seek out between the larger evening events.
Christmas dinner and seafood at Lá Sen and Café Nam Hai
At Lá Sen, The Nutcracker’s Christmas Eve Buffet will take the traditional festive route with turkey served alongside chestnut-and-herb stuffing. The spread also features a station serving fresh truffle, USDA prime rib and tomahawk steak, while Christmas desserts and Nutcracker-themed performers round out the evening.
Café Nam Hai offers a different Christmas dinner with Lotus Moon. The five courses draw on regional Indian cooking, including korma with lobster and biryani featuring tandoori lamb chops. Candlelight and floating lotus blooms will give the restaurant a softer setting than the bustle of a buffet.
Lá Sen’s Ocean Feast Buffet turns towards the Vietnamese coast. Sushi and ceviche will be served with local abalone and spiny lobster from Nha Trang, with a silk fan dance planned during the meal. If seafood is your ideal holiday indulgence, this is the dinner to ask about when choosing your dates.
Café Nam Hai has another Indian-inspired option in the Thousand Lanterns Dinner, serving aromatic curries alongside biryanis. A dance featuring LED lanterns will accompany the meal, and guests can visit a Maharaja-Maharani photo booth. The resort has styled the evening around the grandeur of ancient Indian palaces, with a playful touch at the end of dinner.
Lagoon-side spa treatments and family activities
The Heart of the Earth Spa, set above a lotus-filled lagoon, is adding two treatments for the season. Both take their inspiration from Khoi Sac, a Vietnamese phrase the resort associates with renewal and brighter days.
Khoi Sac Bodywork begins with smoke from Hoi An agarwood, followed by a full-body massage and an herbal bath. In the Khoi Sac Facial, cultured pearl powder and rose extract are combined to hydrate and nourish the skin.
The wider programme includes yoga classes and candlelight meditation. Mantra chanting and a New Year intention-setting session are also on the calendar, offering a quieter way to spend the time between Christmas dinner and the countdown.
Children will have a changing daily programme at Chuon Chuon Kids’ Club, which has indoor and outdoor spaces for holiday games and creative workshops. Elsewhere at the resort, guests can join workshops on embroidering conical hats or making lanterns. Both make a welcome change from another afternoon around the pool, especially for families staying through the full holiday period.
Private pool villas beside Ha My Beach
The Nam Hai is an all-villa resort, and the festive plans leave plenty of room for time together away from the scheduled events. For couples, the Ocean-view One-Bedroom Pool Villa sits among tropical gardens with its own pool. An outdoor rain shower and open-air pavilion make it an appealing place to linger over a slow morning or a meal together.
From the Ocean-View Three-Bedroom Pool Villa, families and friends can enjoy views of Ha My Beach. Beyond the shared living and dining pavilion is a private infinity pool; each bedroom villa has a bathroom with garden access and an outdoor rain shower. There’s space to gather by the water, then return to separate rooms when everyone wants a little quiet.
Four Seasons completed renovations to its One-Bedroom and Family Villas in December 2025. Its first two renovated Signature Three-Bedroom Pool Villas opened in July 2026, giving travellers another villa category to ask about when planning a group stay.
Hoi An and the surrounding region
The resort’s guided Hoi An excursion explores the town’s merchant houses, market areas and historic streets. The UNESCO-listed Ancient Town preserves the character of a trading port that flourished between the 15th and 19th centuries. For anyone keen to explore by appetite, a Vespa tour winds through smaller alleys in search of regional food.
Another outing follows the Cua Dai River into a fishing village. Guests can try navigating a bamboo basket boat and take part in a friendly race before sitting down to a Vietnamese lunch. It’s an active day away from the resort, with a closer look at life along the river.
Further afield, My Son Sanctuary preserves tower temples associated with the Champa Kingdom and its Hindu-influenced culture. Hue’s Imperial City forms part of the UNESCO-listed Complex of Hué Monuments. Hue served as Vietnam’s capital under the Nguyen dynasty from 1802 to 1945, giving guests another option for a day devoted to the region’s history.
