Four Seasons Hotel Mykonos has opened above Kalo Livadi Bay, introducing a 94-room luxury retreat with a private beach on the island’s quieter south coast.
Welcoming guests for its first summer season, the hotel occupies a 6-hectare hillside site on the western side of the bay. Its whitewashed buildings descend towards the Aegean Sea, placing furnished terraces, infinity pools and landscaped courtyards across several levels.
The opening gives Four Seasons its second hotel in Greece, following Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens on the Athens Riviera. First arrivals were scheduled from June 26, 2026, ahead of the main summer holiday period.
It sits about 20 minutes from Mykonos Airport and from Chora, the island’s main town. Guests can use regular shuttles or private transport to travel between the quiet coastal setting and Chora’s restaurants, boutiques and nightlife.
A modern Cycladic village above Kalo Livadi Bay
Greek architect Nicos Valsamakis designed Four Seasons Hotel Mykonos as a contemporary interpretation of a Cycladic village. White cubic buildings are connected by stone paths, shaded courtyards and gardens planted with indigenous flowers.
The whitewashed architecture is accented by doors, shutters and balconies in blue and green, and the stepped layout keeps wide bay views open. Landscape architect Helli Pangalou created the flowering gardens and walkways across the hillside.
The property’s environmental measures include solar energy and desalinated seawater. An advanced waste-management system forms another part of its stated sustainability programme, which is intended to reduce pressure on the island’s resources.
All 94 rooms, suites and villas have panoramic water views and furnished outdoor space. Many also include private plunge pools positioned towards the sea, giving couples and families a more secluded alternative to the hotel’s shared pools.
Connecting rooms and larger suites accommodate families or groups of friends. A supervised kids’ club is available for children aged five to 12, while babysitting can also be arranged.
A private beach, infinity pools and a sea-facing spa
At the foot of the hillside, the hotel’s private beach offers direct access to the clear waters of Kalo Livadi Bay. Guests can spend the day swimming, trying watersports or relaxing with food and drinks served beside the shore.
Two infinity pools offer another place to swim or relax, with sea views, loungers and poolside service. The hotel also has a jetty for private yacht departures to quieter beaches, kitesurfing areas and nearby islands.
Set among the gardens, the spa has seven treatment rooms, including a couples’ room and a larger private suite. Wimberly Interiors designed the spa, which also incorporates an outdoor treatment pavilion and a terrace juice bar. A sauna and steam room sit beside the vitality pool within the thermal circuit.
Fitness facilities remain open 24 hours and include an indoor gym plus an outdoor spinning studio. Yoga and stretching sessions take place in a dedicated sea-view pavilion, with personal trainers available for customised programmes.
Four restaurants and bars span the hillside
Four Seasons Hotel Mykonos has four restaurants and bars, all designed by New York-based Rockwell Group and spread across the resort.
Álef is the principal Mediterranean grill, pairing premium meats and fresh seafood with Greek and Old World wines. Wood-fire cooking anchors the menu, while an outdoor terrace looks across the Aegean. A private dining room can host up to 15 guests.
Corbu serves coastal Italian food throughout the day, offering a relaxed option away from the beach. Down by the water, The Beach provides casual dining with summer cocktails, juices and coffee delivered beside the shore.
Kafeneo draws on the traditional Greek coffee house, beginning with morning coffee before moving into meze and desserts. At sunset, the menu shifts towards drinks such as ouzo, creating an informal gathering place within the resort’s village-style layout.
Twenty-four-hour in-room dining is also available, while individual restaurants can be reserved for private celebrations. Outdoor events can accommodate as many as 200 guests.
Delos boat trips and guided Mykonos experiences
Alongside its secluded setting, the resort offers private experiences that connect guests with Mykonos and the neighbouring Cycladic islands.
A boat excursion combines the archaeological ruins of Delos, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with swimming and snorkelling around Rhenia. Private helicopter flights provide an aerial view of Mykonos, while guided island tours visit Chora, the Lighthouse, Kalafatis Beach and the inland village of Ano Mera.
Guests can also arrange a horseback ride through farmland and along rocky goat paths towards secluded Fokos Beach. Within Chora, expert-led walks can include Little Venice, the hilltop windmills, museums, galleries and the 17th-century Church of Panagia Paraportiani.
“Our local experts can create personalized experiences based on each guest’s own interests,” general manager Ryan Grande said in the hotel’s opening-season announcement.
The hillside also contains a secluded chapel overlooking the beach, available for smaller wedding ceremonies. Celebrations can continue at Álef or in the hotel’s indoor and outdoor event spaces.
Four Seasons can arrange combined stays with its Athens property, with the two hotels connected by a flight of around 30 minutes or a helicopter journey of about 20 minutes. Travelling by boat between the Athens Riviera and Mykonos takes approximately three hours.
