Coworth Park has unveiled redesigned Stable accommodation and Cottages across its 240-acre Ascot estate, with private terraces, landscaped gardens and interiors shaped by the surrounding Berkshire countryside.

Announced by Dorchester Collection on 15 June 2026, the transformation covers the Stable Rooms and Stable Suites, together with the estate’s Cottages. The accommodation became available to book in June, with rates starting from £860 per night.

Martin Hulbert, together with his team, oversaw the project and came back to a property they first transformed in 2010. In this newest update, Coworth Park keeps its polished country-house character while drawing its guestrooms more closely to its equestrian history and wildflower meadows.

Located about 45 minutes from London, Coworth Park is a Dorchester Collection country-house hotel with 71 rooms and suites. Its wider facilities include Michelin-starred Woven by Adam Smith and The Barn, alongside a spa and polo fields.

Private terraces connect the Stable Rooms with the estate

The most visible change is the addition of private terraces and landscaped cottage gardens. These outdoor spaces extend the accommodation into the estate, creating secluded places for breakfast beneath the trees or drinks before dinner.

Coworth Park’s Stable accommodation sits apart from the Mansion House, with outlooks varying between woodland, countryside, polo fields and the working stable setting. The new terraces strengthen that sense of place, giving guests private access to the quiet atmosphere beyond their rooms.

Around the Cottages, Hulbert’s team has combined cultivated planting with wilder woodland species. Flowers are layered to appear throughout the year, allowing the gardens to shift in colour and texture with the seasons.

The approach reflects the interiors, where spring yellows give way to deeper autumnal shades. The redesign carries seasonal colour and materials through the rooms and adjoining outdoor spaces, linking the interiors to the landscape.

Meadow flowers shape the materials and colour palette

Inside, warm natural materials sit beside layered fabrics and contemporary British furnishings. The rooms feel considered rather than formal, with earthy tones and soft surfaces suited to their position within the Stables.

Bespoke wall textiles form one of the project’s central details. Their patterns were drawn by hand from British scenery and meadow flowers before being block printed onto Irish linen, combining a traditional production method with a cleaner contemporary finish.

Flowers from Coworth Park’s meadow also appear inside bespoke resin tables. Dried specimens have been set into the surfaces, bringing material gathered from the estate directly into the guestrooms without turning the spaces into literal country-house pastiche.

Leather upholstery provides a quieter reference to Coworth Park’s equestrian identity. Its texture and associations complement the stable setting while contributing to the rooms’ warmer, more tactile character.

The combination of hand-worked textiles, estate flowers and leather gives each space a recognisable connection to Coworth Park. These details reinforce the project’s emphasis on lasting craftsmanship.

Artwork follows four themes from Coworth Park

A newly curated artwork collection develops the same ideas through semi-impressionistic paintings, abstract sculpture and other media. The collection is organised around four themes: Equestrian, Rhythms of the Landscape, Seasonal Cycles, and Hedgerows and Meadows.

Each theme draws attention to a different part of the estate’s identity. Horses and polo inform the equestrian works, while the remaining pieces focus on changing vegetation, seasonal movement and the less formal edges of the grounds.

The curation gives the Stable accommodation a shared visual language without making every room identical. Colour, subject and medium can vary, while the collection remains tied to the setting outside.

Martin Hulbert builds on Coworth Park’s 2010 design

Hulbert’s involvement gives the redesign continuity with Coworth Park’s earlier transformation. More than 15 years after working on the derelict site and abandoned house, his team has adjusted the interiors for current guests while preserving the balance between urban polish and country living.

“The brief was clear: Build on the legacy of Coworth Park’s past, while shaping it for the future. More than 15 years ago we transformed a derelict site and abandoned house into a world of calm sophistication,” Hulbert said in the official announcement. “Now with the client’s trust, we have refreshed these interiors, retaining the essence of its timeless blend where town and country blur with contemporary ease.”

That balance is clearest in the Stable setting, where the hotel’s contemporary luxury meets working equestrian grounds. The rooms remain connected to that context. Leather, meadow-derived objects and countryside artwork bring it indoors, while terraces and changing cottage gardens lead guests back outside.

Booking the redesigned Coworth Park accommodation

The redesigned Stable Rooms, Stable Suites and Cottages have been available to book since June 2026. Rates start from £860 per night, although the price will vary by accommodation category and stay date.

Guests choosing a Stable Terrace Room gain a private outdoor space as part of the new design. The Cottages offer landscaped gardens with successive seasonal planting, making them the stronger choice for travellers seeking greater privacy and a more extended connection with the estate grounds.
