Accor and Colossos SA will open the first MGallery Collection hotel on Rhodes, bringing a 222-key adults-only beachfront resort to Kallithea in spring 2027.
Currently under construction, MGallery Rhodes will overlook the Aegean Sea and offer direct beach access in a coastal setting focused on privacy and wellbeing. Accommodation will range from guestrooms and suites to secluded bungalows, with sea views planned across every category.
Accor’s boutique MGallery Collection announced the agreement with Colossos SA, a family-owned Rhodes hospitality company, on 10 July 2026. The development will add a design-led luxury retreat to Kallithea, a coastal area south of Rhodes Town along the island’s east coast.
Sea views shape the resort’s design
MGallery Rhodes will centre on a ten-storey building with a curved, spiral-like silhouette designed to preserve uninterrupted views across the water. Organic forms and natural materials will link its contemporary architecture with the surrounding coastline.
The resort will contain 50 secluded pools within its landscaped grounds, while selected suites and bungalows will have private pools. Selected suites and bungalows will have private pools, giving couples the option of more secluded outdoor space.
Mediterranean gardens will soften the larger structure and create privacy around the lower-level accommodation. The planting plan includes ancient olive trees, hibiscus, lavender, rosemary, myrtle and oleanders, alongside native species selected from Rhodes.
Design cues will also come from Rhodes’ architectural heritage, including its identity as the Island of Knights and the Medieval City of Rhodes. MGallery’s hotel model focuses on properties whose stories are shaped by their locations, rather than using one design formula across the collection.
“MGallery is a collection of hotels with stories rooted in their destinations, and the hotel we are developing in Rhodes captures the essence of Rhodes beautifully,” said Maud Bailly, CEO of Sofitel Legend, Sofitel, MGallery & Emblems.
Bailly said the architecture, beachfront position, wellbeing facilities and connection to Rhodes reflected the priorities of contemporary luxury travellers.

Five restaurants and a signature cocktail bar
Dining at MGallery Rhodes will include one fine-dining venue and four speciality restaurants, with menus planned around Mediterranean flavours and international influences. The restaurants are planned to take advantage of the coastal position through views of the Aegean.
Several bars will be distributed throughout the resort. A signature cocktail bar is being designed as its main social space, pairing creative drinks with an elegant setting for evenings overlooking the sea.
The scale of the food and drink offering gives guests several options without leaving the property, while direct beach access will retain a strong sense of place. Further information about restaurant concepts, chefs and menus has yet to be released.
A 1,100-square-metre spa anchors the wellness offer
The resort’s 1,100-square-metre spa will be the centre of its wellness programme, which takes inspiration from the sea and the slower rhythms associated with Mediterranean living.
Inside, guests will find a swimming pool and hydromassage pool, alongside beauty and wellness treatments developed with Swiss skincare brands Valmont and Swiss Perfection.
Outdoor facilities will include a fitness centre, dedicated exercise routes, tennis courts and padel courts, allowing guests to combine treatments with structured training or informal recreation.
The adults-only format, extensive spa and private-pool accommodation position MGallery Rhodes as a couples-focused resort. Its quieter spaces and social dining venues may also suit honeymoons or relaxed celebrations.
Colossos SA expands its Rhodes portfolio
MGallery Rhodes is a major new investment for Colossos SA, whose history on the island dates to 1958. The company’s existing portfolio includes Amada Colossos Resort and Rodos Park.
Aris Soulounias, chief executive officer of Colossos SA, said the project reflected the company’s plans for hospitality on Rhodes, highlighting quality, a distinctive design approach, international partnerships and experiences connected to the destination.
The company has also linked the development to investment in renewable energy and environmentally conscious operating practices. The landscaping strategy and use of native plants form part of that stated approach, although detailed environmental targets have not been published.
MGallery continues its expansion in Greece
The Rhodes opening will extend a Greek MGallery portfolio that includes Athens Capital Hotel, Athens Capital Suites, NIKO Seaside Resort Crete and Kove Hotel & Spa Mykonos. Nírema Hotel & Spa Samos is also forthcoming.
Accor plans to double MGallery’s footprint in Greece as part of the brand’s wider expansion. Globally, the collection comprises more than 125 boutique hotels, with another 56 properties in development.
MGallery Rhodes is due to receive its first guests in spring 2027.
