Bar 37 looks across Lake Geneva towards the Jet d’Eau, with Mont Blanc beyond. This winter, The Woodward’s cocktail lounge will take on an alpine character, with CORDOVA plaid, lobster cromesquis and a limited-edition cashmere sweater bringing together food, design and ski-season dressing.

The Woodward, Auberge Collection has announced The Après Society, a partnership with the luxury ski and resortwear brand running from 1 December 2026 to 28 February 2027. It will span the bar and its lake-view terrace, with seasonal cocktails, a comfort-food menu and a shoppable edit of CORDOVA’s winter 26/27 collection.

The hotel is positioning the experience as a stopover for guests travelling on to Megève, Courchevel, Verbier or Gstaad. An Alpine Interlude wellbeing package, developed with Guerlain, adds a restorative option before or after time on the slopes.

Plaid and cocktails by the lake

CORDOVA’s seasonal colour palette and signature plaid will shape the entire bar, with both the lounge and terrace reimagined as a contemporary alpine retreat. The lake-facing setting gives the collaboration its particular character: mountain-inspired design at a city hotel, with Geneva’s waterfront directly outside.

Bar 37 already operates as a cocktail bar and piano lounge, welcoming patrons during the day and into the evening. Its existing Pierre-Yves Rochon interiors use jewel-toned colours, while its usual offering extends from brunch to sunset drinks and late-night snacks. The seasonal transformation will bring CORDOVA’s aesthetic into this established gathering place.

Héctor Lugo, general manager of The Woodward, explained the thinking behind the partnership: “We wanted to create something that felt new for Geneva, rather than simply bring a ski-inspired concept to The Woodward. CORDOVA felt like a natural partner – we share a mutual appreciation for design, craftsmanship and a considered approach to luxury.”

Lobster, foie gras and kumquat gingerbread

The Bastion Collection, which is also behind the hotel’s restaurants, is providing the seasonal food menu. Its announced dishes give comfort food a richer treatment, with lobster, foie gras and gingerbread among the ingredients.

Les Cromesquis “Cordova” pairs lobster cromesquis with puffed rice and chipotle mayonnaise. La Trilogie Alpine brings mini beef and foie gras burgers to the table, while Le Pain d’Épices is kumquat gingerbread served by the slice. The selection moves between savoury bar food and something sweet, making it easy to plan a visit around drinks and a few dishes.

Seasonal cocktails will accompany the menu. Guests can settle into the cocktail lounge or spend time on the lake-view terrace, with the same alpine-inspired concept extending across both spaces.

The food makes The Après Society relevant to travellers whose winter plans centre on Geneva itself. A drink and lobster cromesquis offer a way to experience the collaboration during a city stay, while the clothing pop-up adds another reason to spend time at Bar 37 before dinner.

A winter wardrobe, with delivery to the mountains

CORDOVA will bring an edit of its winter 26/27 looks to The Woodward, giving guests the opportunity to shop during the season. The collaboration also includes a limited-edition CORDOVA x The Woodward cashmere sweater, available to purchase at the hotel and online through CORDOVA throughout the season.

The brand will also ship ski clothing to guests’ onward mountain destinations. For travellers combining a Geneva stay with time at a resort, that offers a practical connection between the pop-up and the next part of the trip.

Jane and Cody Seim founded CORDOVA in 2016, drawing on the brand’s Alaskan heritage and connection to the mountains. It began with tailored ski suits, combining a sculpted silhouette with the technical requirements of skiing, and now makes clothing for life on and beyond the mountain.

Jane Seim, CORDOVA’s creative director and founder, said: “We share a customer with a strong sense of personal style and an appreciation for thoughtful curation, which made this partnership feel particularly relevant.”

The hotel edit brings that clothing into a setting where guests can browse alongside a drink or a meal. The sweater is the collaboration-specific piece; the wider selection introduces the season’s alpine collection before guests continue to the slopes.

A Guerlain interlude before or after skiing

The Alpine Interlude package is a pre- and post-ski recovery wellbeing programme created with Guerlain, The Woodward’s spa partner. It gives the hotel’s winter offering a wellness element alongside the bar, food and fashion collaboration.

The Woodward devotes two floors, covering 1,200 square metres, to wellness. A 21-metre indoor pool provides space for a swim. Among the wider facilities are two Swedish baths and a whirlpool, as well as snow-and-ice showers, steam rooms and saunas. A fitness centre is also part of the setting.

Six treatment rooms include a suite for couples. Guerlain offers individually tailored beauty and wellness treatments, together with holistic massages. Its wider treatment menu includes Spirit of Lake Geneva, an experience created specifically for the lakefront destination.

The pool, treatment rooms and thermal facilities make wellness a substantial part of a stay here. A night in Geneva can allow time for a spa appointment and a swim as well as an evening at Bar 37, with the hotel providing a quieter interval between the city and a ski resort.

Guests arranging Alpine Interlude should discuss the programme’s treatments, timing and inclusions with the spa when booking. A pre-ski visit and a post-ski stay serve different points in the journey, so appointments are worth planning around onward travel and the time available at the hotel.

Lake-facing suites in a Belle Époque building

The Woodward occupies a Belle Époque building dating from 1901 on Quai Wilson. It opened as an all-suite hotel in 2021, following a transformation led by The Bastion Collection with architect Pierre-Yves Rochon, and holds three Michelin Keys.

Its 26-suite inventory keeps the property small. Twenty-one suites have sweeping Lake Geneva views, and each has its own design and a marble fireplace. Large picture windows, marquetry panelling and handmade wallpaper with blue accents connect the interiors to the lakeside setting.

Lake views are worth requesting when arranging a stay, particularly if the waterfront is part of the reason for choosing Geneva. The suites offer a more private setting from which to enjoy it, alongside the shared views at Bar 37 and the hotel’s dining spaces.

The Royal Suite has four balconies facing the lake and a dining room seating ten. Two suites at the hotel also have private lifts, details that may be useful for guests seeking additional privacy or planning a larger gathering.

Bar 37 has its own private salon, with capacity for ten people for dining or meetings, or 25 for a cocktail party. Guests considering a winter celebration can discuss that space with the hotel when making arrangements.

Dinner beyond The Après Society

L’Atelier Robuchon gives guests another reason to extend a visit into an overnight stay. The two-Michelin-star restaurant has a theatrical open kitchen, a 36-seat counter and two private dining rooms, offering a different dining format from the seasonal bar menu.

Le Jardinier centres its food on seasonal fruit, vegetables and herbs. Its greenhouse-inspired interiors extend onto a tree-lined veranda overlooking the lake and marina, carrying the waterfront setting into another part of the hotel.

The Woodward’s Wine Dinner series adds a small-group dimension to its dining programme. The Angelus evening announced for October was limited to 15 guests, with six courses and paired wines at L’Atelier Robuchon.

Christmas and New Year dining experiences will also run alongside The Après Society. Across the separate festive menus, guests will find venison, black truffle, imperial caviar and blue lobster. Guests travelling over the holidays can therefore arrange a stay around both the seasonal bar collaboration and a celebratory restaurant meal.

Planning a winter stay

Room-only rates at The Woodward start at £1,540 / CHF 1,650. Guests interested in Alpine Interlude should request its pricing and inclusions when arranging accommodation.
