The Katy Trail will be on the doorstep of The Knox, Auberge Collection, while a ninth-floor pool garden will look towards downtown Dallas. Between them, the new hotel is taking shape with art-filled rooms, indoor-outdoor dining spaces and suites with room for private dinners, spa time and long stays.

Auberge Collection has announced that reservations are now open for stays beginning 29 January 2027. The 140-room hotel will bring interiors by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio to the Knox Street neighbourhood, alongside four dining and drinking venues and a dedicated wellbeing destination. Private residences, designed separately by Chad Dorsey, form another part of the property.

A Dallas address beside the Katy Trail

Knox Street sits around three miles north of Downtown, near Highland Park, with designer boutiques and restaurants along tree-lined streets. The hotel’s direct access to the Katy Trail gives guests an easy route into one of the city’s established outdoor spaces: a 3.5-mile green corridor for walking, running and cycling.

The trail follows a former Union Pacific railway line, with separate pedestrian and shared-use paths and connections to neighbourhood restaurants and businesses. The Knox crossing has a wheelchair-accessible entrance, and the trail is open from 5am to 11pm, making it useful for both an early walk and an evening outing.

Developer Trammell Crow Company’s wider Knox Street scheme covers four acres, combining the hotel with homes, offices, shops, restaurants and a half-acre public park connected to the trail. Construction began in December 2023.

Woods Bagot, which leads the architectural design of the hotel and residences, has planned shared streets and pedestrian passages around a landscaped trailhead park. Different building forms are intended to give each part of the development its own identity, while deliveries and building services are planned below ground to preserve pedestrian space above. The hotel-and-residence tower is oriented towards the trail to the west and downtown skyline views to the south and east.

Brudnizki interiors and room to settle in

Martin Brudnizki Design Studio’s hotel interiors will pair curated art and custom-made furniture with marble bathrooms, intricate detailing and generous room layouts. Auberge describes a residential approach, with comfortable places to sit and linger as well as sleep.

Brudnizki also designed London’s Broadwick Soho, where patterned interiors, antiques, bespoke furniture and more than 300 original artworks give a sense of his richly layered approach. At The Knox, the announced design places particular emphasis on craftsmanship, texture and the feeling of a private residence.

Suites will have separate living and dining areas, with the two signature options offering particularly substantial spaces. The Manse, the hotel’s largest suite, is planned with a private fitness space, wellness room, bar and media room, alongside its living and dining areas. It gives travellers staying longer dedicated spaces for exercise, treatments and entertaining within their accommodation.

The Promenade Suite will have a 2,100 sq ft terrace with multiple dining and lounge areas, plus an indoor bar and an expansive living room. Its outdoor space is a defining detail for guests planning a private celebration or gathering, with room to move between indoor entertaining and the terrace.

Auberge’s two- and three-bedroom apartments extend the longer-stay options. Abbott House, Hester House and the three-bedroom Hyland House will have kitchens, ample room for living and private terraces, supported by hotel services and amenities. These are worth considering for travellers who want separate bedrooms and somewhere to gather over several days.

Four places to dine and drink

The signature restaurant will centre on Americana classics in a moody setting, with an emphasis on celebratory dining. Its private Trophy Room will have tapestry-covered walls, adding a more intimate space for dinners and special occasions within the restaurant.

A neighbouring all-day salon will combine indoor and outdoor seating with a contemporary approach to European-style dining. Champagne is part of the planned offering, while the salon and terrace will provide another setting for meals and drinks through the day. Together, the restaurant and salon give the hotel’s dining programme distinct formal and more flexible spaces.

An intimate evening lounge will focus on cocktails, with a speakeasy-inspired atmosphere and an emphasis on both preparation and presentation. Up on the ninth floor, poolside dining will serve lighter dishes in the planted pool garden overlooking the Dallas skyline. The four venues span breakfast through late-night drinks, with the outdoor pool setting adding a different pace to the indoor restaurants and lounge.

Wellbeing, from thermal bathing to in-suite treatments

The signature Wellbeing by Auberge destination will bring together skin-health treatments, thermal rituals and therapies focused on longevity. The announced programme includes sculptural bathing environments arranged as a multi-sensory thermal journey, alongside treatments and dedicated wellbeing programming.

Auberge is planning the space for individual restoration and shared experiences, giving the spa a social role within the hotel as well as a treatment-led one. The combination of thermal bathing on site and walking or running along the adjacent trail offers guests several ways to build wellbeing into a city stay.

Suite guests will also have access to in-room wellbeing amenities, including curated beauty drawers and a menu of skincare and recovery devices available on request. The Manse’s separate fitness and wellness rooms make it the most extensively equipped accommodation option described in the announcement.

Terraces and private celebrations

The Colonnade Room will be the main ballroom, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a wrap-around terrace. A dedicated private entrance will lead to the second-floor event venues, with arrivals and receptions passing through The Gallery, an art-lined space adjoining the ballroom.

The third-floor Knox Parlour Rooms will offer four interconnected settings for smaller occasions and meetings. The Waldon Room is planned as a furnished lounge, while Margay and Barlow will be light-filled meeting rooms with private terraces. The Kestrel Room will have dramatic tented ceilings and vibrant interiors. These spaces, together with the restaurant’s Trophy Room, give travellers arranging a wedding, milestone dinner or group stay several distinct venues to consider.

Opening dates and how to book

The Knox’s January debut comes shortly before Auberge’s UK arrival at Cambridge House in Mayfair. That 102-room London hotel is scheduled to open on 1 February 2027, with public reservations available from 1 April, interiors by Jean-Louis Deniot and a three-floor wellbeing destination designed by Laura Gonzalez.

The Knox is accepting reservations for stays from 29 January 2027, with rates starting at $1,000 (£754) per night. To book, contact the hotel’s reservations team directly; its website currently directs guests to book by phone while online booking is temporarily unavailable.
