Scott Dunn has launched Full Circle, a collection of luxury itineraries reworking classic gap year routes through Asia, Latin America and the American Southwest for travellers ready to revisit them at a slower pace.
Announced on 27 July to mark the tour operator’s 40th anniversary, the collection features private guides, cultural access, thoughtful stays and carefully planned transport in place of rushed stopovers and basic accommodation. International flights and transfers are included in each advertised price.
Founded as a specialist ski operator in 1986, Scott Dunn now creates tailor-made holidays through teams in Asia as well as the UK and US. Full Circle follows The 40 Collection, an anniversary portfolio of the company’s landmark tours.
“These new Full Circle journeys are for the travellers who first had their eyes opened by a formative travel experience and are ready to look again,” Scott Dunn global managing director Ali Zacher said.
Southeast Asia with deeper local access
The longest itinerary spends 22 nights travelling across Thailand and Vietnam before continuing into Laos, with prices from £14,000 per person based on two adults.
In Hanoi, guests explore by vintage Vespa and follow street-food trails inspired by Anthony Bourdain before staying at Sofitel Legend Metropole, where its wartime bunker can be visited. A two-night voyage through quieter Bai Tu Long Bay replaces the busy Halong Bay cruise circuit.
The route continues through Hoi An, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Luang Prabang. Highlights include a private Bangkok canal journey, ethical elephant encounters and breakfast beside Kuang Si Waterfalls before the site opens to general visitors.
India and Nepal at a gentler pace
Scott Dunn’s 14-night India and Nepal journey starts from £12,800 per person for two adults. Culinary historians lead guests through Old Delhi, while time in Agra includes meetings with artisans preserving traditional marble inlay techniques.
Private Ganga Puja rituals offer closer access to Varanasi’s spiritual life. In Nepal, guests take a slower route through the Annapurna foothills instead of the demanding backpacker trek, alongside encounters with Buddhist teachers and local families in Kathmandu.
Utah beyond the roadside motel
The four-night Utah itinerary combines privately guided visits to Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon with a luxury camp near Zion’s eastern boundary. Guests can try canyoneering and explore remote slot canyons by ATV.
The journey also includes a private storytelling session with Peter MacDonald Sr., a former four-term Chairman of the Navajo Nation and US Marine Corps Navajo Code Talker. Prices start from £8,575 per person, based on two adults travelling with two children.
Peru and Bolivia under open skies
The 14-night Latin America itinerary runs from Lima through the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu before continuing to La Paz, Lake Titicaca and Uyuni. Private food experiences feature in Lima, while visits with Aymara communities explore the spiritual meaning of Lake Titicaca.
At the Uyuni salt flats, guests travel with private guides and stay in luxury Airstream campers positioned for stargazing instead of using shared vehicles and basic rooms. The itinerary starts from £16,300 per person for two adults, with further details available from Scott Dunn.
