Three Marriott-branded resorts in Mauritius have announced separate festive programmes for Christmas 2026 and New Year, with eligible stays offering savings of up to 35%.

The St. Regis Le Morne will centre its celebrations on sunset rituals beneath Le Morne Brabant. Le Méridien Ile Maurice is planning a French Riviera-inspired family programme, while The Westin Turtle Bay Resort & Spa will combine nature-led wellness with beachfront events.

Each resort has published its own festive travel dates. The programmes generally begin between 20 and 23 December 2026 and continue into early January 2027, although eligible dates vary by property and offer.

Bookings must be made by 14 December 2026 to access the festive promotions, subject to availability and individual resort conditions.

The St. Regis Le Morne: sunset rituals beneath Le Morne Brabant

Set on Mauritius’s south-west coast beneath Le Morne Brabant, The St. Regis Le Morne is an all-suite beachfront resort pairing formal festive dining with its daily sunset traditions.

Its Season of Light programme runs from 20 December 2026 to 8 January 2027, while the property’s advertised festive offer covers eligible stays from 23 December to 9 January. Champagne sabrage will mark golden hour each day, accompanied by acoustic strings or vocals as the light changes over the mountain.

Christmas Eve begins with Sunset Sabrage before moving into candlelit dining with Mauritian-influenced festive dishes. Carols on the beach and a live orchestra beneath the stars will follow later in the evening.

Christmas Day starts with an extended breakfast before Santa’s arrival, family traditions and dining across the resort. The daily sabrage ceremony returns as the sun begins to set.

Between the main celebrations, guests can join Champagne and croquet sessions, live jazz evenings, stargazing, cultural activities and golden-hour mixology masterclasses. Sunrise meditation, yoga, watercolour workshops and children’s lantern-making provide quieter alternatives.

The programme also includes treatments at The St. Regis Spa by La Prairie, which opened in August 2026 as the first La Prairie spa in the Indian Ocean. Its festive menu features the Mauritian Radiance Experience, using basalt stones that reference the island’s volcanic landscape, alongside L’Éclat du Morne Salon by La Prairie.

For New Year’s Eve, guests can choose a celebratory buffet at Le Manoir or a five-course beachfront menu at The Boathouse. Live music and aerial performances lead into a drone show at 11.50pm, followed by fireworks at midnight.

The St. Regis offers formal evening rituals and destination dining, with the resort’s celebrations closely tied to the Le Morne setting.

Le Méridien Ile Maurice: French-inspired festivities for families

Located on a kilometre-long beach at Pointe aux Piments, Le Méridien Ile Maurice is a 261-room resort with extensive family facilities and a quieter adults-only Nirvana wing beside the lagoon.

Its festive programme, offered from 23 December 2026 to 4 January 2027, borrows from the easy-going style of the French Riviera. Pétanque afternoons, beachfront dinners, apéritif occasions and a French-inspired market on 30 December bring that theme into the Mauritian setting.

Children have one of the fullest schedules across the three resorts. Activities include a traditional French afternoon tea at the Kids Club, circus workshops, fishing excursions, coastal e-bike trips, treasure hunts and festive crafts in Santa’s Workshop. Family Olympic Games offer a more energetic option, while the Joyeux Noël spa package is designed for parents and children to enjoy together.

Christmas Eve combines a family cooking class with pony rides and a Nativity Show performed by the resort’s Little Stars. Dinner at Nomad will bring French culinary influences together with Mauritian flavours, served at candlelit tables with live music.

Santa is due to make his main arrival on Christmas Day. Families can then move from the celebrations to sunset yoga on the beach, followed by stories and treats around a bonfire.

New Year’s Eve takes inspiration from the Moulin Rouge, with dinner at Chamarel and Nomad restaurants, rich velvet colours, gold accents and live entertainment. Younger guests will have their own Little Stars’ party before families gather for fireworks over the lagoon at midnight.

After New Year, paddleboarding and kayaking provide time on the water, while the spa’s Snow Room offers a cool contrast to the tropical heat. Le Méridien suits multigenerational groups, particularly those balancing children’s activities with time in an adults-only setting.

The Westin Turtle Bay: wellness and barefoot beach celebrations

Set beside Turtle Bay on Mauritius’s north-west coast, The Westin Turtle Bay Resort & Spa is a 190-suite resort focused on outdoor activity, family facilities and structured wellbeing.

Its Rhythms of the Earth programme runs from 22 December 2026 to 4 January 2027. A separate festive offer lists eligible stays from 23 December 2026 to 8 January 2027, so travellers should check the dates attached to their chosen rate.

Days begin with movement beside the ocean through sunrise yoga, outdoor fitness, Bikram yoga and tai chi. The wellness schedule also includes guided Reiki, singing-bowl meditation and mandala painting at Heavenly Spa. Beach Zumba accompanied by live Creole music brings a livelier mood, while a guided bicycle trip visits nearby Pamplemousses Botanical Garden.

Children can write letters to Santa, decorate Christmas trees, make traditional kites and join gingerbread cooking classes. Sega shows and nocturnal-animal discovery introduce local culture and nature, with pirate treasure hunts, Mini Beach Olympics, family bootcamps and games nights filling the wider schedule.

On Christmas Eve, guests will gather around a fire on Turtle Beach before carols and dinner. Seasonal Tastes will serve festive classics with Mauritian flavours, while Christmas Day includes Santa’s arrival and a beachfront buffet.

New Year’s Eve begins with The Last Sunset Toast at Mystique Beach. A gala dinner and fire show lead into a barefoot beach party with live music, luminous decorations, DJ-led dancing and midnight fireworks.

The following morning, Seasonal Tastes and Beach Grill will serve a Slow Morning breakfast until 11am. Nature walks, activities at The Westin Farm and wellness drinks from The Juicery Bar continue the restorative theme into the first days of January.

The Westin suits travellers who want festive evenings alongside an active routine, with organised programming for both adults and children.

Festive offer and booking details

The three properties are promoting savings of up to 35% on eligible festive stays booked by 14 December 2026. Prices, availability, travel windows and inclusions depend on the resort and selected rate.

The festive promotion sits within the wider Generously Yours, Sunset campaign, which covers eligible stays beyond Christmas and New Year. That broader offer has advertised savings of up to 40% at selected properties for stays through the end of 2027.

Depending on the resort and booking terms, direct reservations can include breakfast, a US$100 food-and-drink credit, selected spa savings and complimentary non-motorised water activities; the booked meal plan may also allow two children sharing their parents’ room to stay free. Travellers should confirm the inclusions shown for their dates before booking.
