Oliver’s Travels has released a collection of UK Christmas stays available from 21 to 28 December 2026, ranging from a 38-person Highland house to secluded cabins for two.
The 12 properties below vary in setting, atmosphere and capacity. Prices were current on 25 August 2026 and cover the whole property for seven nights, but availability and rates may change.
1. Rosebrae House, Scottish Highlands
Rosebrae House is a grand Highland country house for up to 38 guests, making it the largest option in the Christmas collection. Its 20 bedrooms are joined by drawing rooms, a ballroom, library and dedicated Whisky Room, while several open fires bring warmth to the period interiors.
The house dates back to 1640 and comes decorated for Christmas. Outside, guests have an acre of walled garden and private estate paths leading towards the beach, with the Moray Firth, Speyside and the Cairngorms shaping the wider setting.
A seven-night stay costs £60,200, approximately £1,584 per person at full occupancy. Optional services include private cooking, butler service and wine tasting, subject to advance arrangement.
2. Cairngorms Castle, Scottish Highlands
Cairngorms Castle is a Victorian castle on a 200-acre estate at the southern edge of Cairngorms National Park. It sleeps between 12 and 18 guests for Christmas, surrounded by glens, rivers, mountain scenery and a private loch.
Formal reception rooms, open fireplaces and a dining room seating up to 20 create an elegant setting for long festive meals. The standard castle experience is fully serviced, with meals and private staff; housekeeping each morning and a Scottish piper experience also appear among the listed inclusions, although guests should confirm the exact festive package before booking.
At £65,468 for seven nights, around £3,637 per person based on 18 guests, this is the collection’s highest-priced stay. Highland games, whisky tasting, falconry and guided outdoor pursuits can also be arranged.
3. Dorset Castle, Isle of Portland
Dorset Castle is a Grade II-listed neo-Gothic castle overlooking Church Ope Cove and the Jurassic Coast. It sleeps 18 to 20 guests across nine en-suite bedrooms, offering historic character without requiring anyone to share a bathroom.
The turret master suite has an emperor bed, sea views and a freestanding bath. Downstairs, exposed stone and substantial timber details frame the drawing room, library, formal dining room and conservatory. Landscaped grounds include English, Italian, Japanese and tropical gardens.
The supplied Christmas information says the indoor heated pool will remain open, though Oliver’s Travels advises confirming seasonal pool access for specific dates. Seven nights cost £24,691, approximately £1,235 per person based on 20 guests.
4. Highbrook Court, Herefordshire
Highbrook Court is a large Herefordshire country estate designed for an energetic group Christmas. Sleeping 28 guests across 11 bedrooms, it provides separate spaces for cooking, games, dancing and quieter evenings.
The house has an Aga kitchen, mahogany-panelled study, billiard room and games room, while a lower-ground-floor den contains its own dance floor. A lake and treehouse sit within the grounds, approximately six miles from Hereford railway station.
Christmas decorations are provided, and services such as catering, housekeeping, fridge stocking and transfers can be requested. The seven-night price is £16,604, or approximately £593 per person at full occupancy, making this one of the more accessible large-group options in the collection.
5. Orchard Manor, Cotswolds
Orchard Manor is a historic Cotswold house for 16 guests, set within 20 acres of orchards, gardens and private parkland. Dating to 1476, it retains oak panelling, exposed beams, ornate plasterwork and several open fires.
The formal dining room seats up to 18, giving the group room to invite local friends or spread out for Christmas lunch. The grounds contain a tennis court, sauna and spring-fed swimming lake, although children require supervision around the water and fireplaces.
Broadway and Chipping Campden are within driving distance, while a village pub, butcher, café and farm shop can be reached on foot. The decorated manor costs £25,745 for seven nights, approximately £1,609 per guest at full occupancy.
6. Sea Mist House, Charlestown, Cornwall
Sea Mist House is a bright coastal property for 14 guests near Charlestown’s historic harbour. Its main house and distinct annexe in the coach house work well for an extended family seeking communal celebrations with additional privacy.
A wood-burning stove anchors the living room, while the games room includes pool, table tennis and table football. The annexe has its own entrance and open-plan living area, though external stairs may present difficulties for guests with limited mobility.
Charlestown’s cafés and the South West Coast Path are within walking distance. At £6,434 for Christmas week, around £460 per person at full occupancy, Sea Mist House combines a generous capacity with one of the lower per-person rates among the larger properties.
7. Wild Waters, Ceredigion
Wild Waters is a contemporary riverside house for ten guests beside a protected nature reserve in Ceredigion. Broad glazing brings the landscape into its clean-lined living spaces, offering an alternative to the traditional country-house Christmas.
Outside, a private pontoon leads towards the water, accompanied by a hot tub, wood-fired sauna and cold plunge. Fishing rights are included, along with kayaks and a canoe for guests willing to venture onto the river in winter.
The house is decorated for Christmas and costs £6,265 for seven nights, approximately £627 per person at full occupancy. It is an appealing choice for a wellness-focused group wanting water views and outdoor activity close to home.
8. Welsh Coach House, Ceredigion
Welsh Coach House is a restored rural property for nine guests, surrounded by 50 acres of private Ceredigion countryside. Its high ceilings, slate floors and original structural details preserve the building’s agricultural character, balanced by simple contemporary furnishings.
Open views give the house a secluded mood, while the beaches of Tresaith and Aberporth are close enough for coastal walks. Christmas decorations are supplied before arrival.
Seven nights cost £2,596, approximately £288 per person when all five bedrooms are occupied. That is the lowest supplied per-person figure in the full Oliver’s Travels Christmas selection.
9. Wycliffe Residence, Oxford
Wycliffe Residence is a central Oxford townhouse for four guests, offering a city-based Christmas within walking distance of historic colleges and museums. Each of its two bedroom suites occupies an entire floor, creating more privacy than its compact capacity might suggest.
The understated interiors include a fireplace in the main living room and a small courtyard garden at the rear. Restaurants, historic streets and the city’s cultural sights are accessible without driving, a useful contrast to the rural locations elsewhere in the collection.
The residence is decorated for Christmas and costs £4,358 for seven nights, approximately £1,090 per person at full occupancy.
10. Crescendo, Dumfries and Galloway
Crescendo is an artistic two-bedroom lodge hidden within woodland on a 2,000-acre coastal estate in south-west Scotland. It sleeps four guests, with bespoke murals giving the contemporary interiors a distinctive character.
Both bedrooms are en suite, while underfloor heating keeps the lodge comfortable through December. A private outdoor bath and firepit sit beyond the doors, surrounded by woodland paths, waterfalls, lochs and secluded beaches.
The harbour village of Portpatrick is approximately two kilometres away, though a car is strongly recommended. At £1,400 for seven nights, or £350 per person at full occupancy, Crescendo suits a small group seeking design-led seclusion at a lower price than the larger country houses.
11. Stream Cottage, South Wales
Stream Cottage is a converted 19th-century coach house beside a mountain stream on a private 120-acre estate in South Wales. Sleeping four guests across two bedrooms.
Exposed beams and original details give the cottage a warm rural character, with a wood-burning stove at the centre of the living area. An enclosed patio provides private outdoor space, and walking routes begin directly from the estate.
The Brecon Beacons and Gower Peninsula can both be reached by car. At approximately £315 per person at full occupancy, this is a strong choice for a quiet countryside Christmas with straightforward access to South Wales landscapes.
12. Vega, Fife
Vega is an adults-only glass cabin for two, set high among the rolling hills of Fife. Full-height glazing opens the minimal interior to broad countryside and coastal views, creating one of the collection’s most distinctive settings.
The cabin has underfloor heating, a kitchenette, private terrace and sauna, with breakfast included each morning. St Andrews is within driving distance, but the working-farm location is rural and mobile phone reception can be limited. Wi-Fi is available.
Seven nights cost £2,145, or approximately £1,073 per person. Vega is best suited to couples wanting privacy, modern design and quiet winter scenery.
