HunterMoss has brought its luxury driving format to the United States with seven curated long-weekend journeys spanning California wine country, New Mexico’s high desert and the forested roads of the East Coast.

The collection lands in a milestone year for American road travel. On 4 July, the country marked the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, and the Route 66 centenary is celebrating one of its most recognisable highways. HunterMoss also looks beyond the Mother Road, with routes including the Pacific Coast Highway, High Road to Taos, Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway.

The company packages each destination into a four-day, three-night escape, covering performance-car hire, hotels, navigation and activities. Expert-led drives use a rotating fleet that includes models from Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, McLaren and Porsche, while concierges manage the practical details.

Founded by Julie Hunter and Anthony Moss in 2008, HunterMoss developed its approach through driving journeys in Europe. Its American collection applies the same Grand Tour sensibility to historic towns, mountain passes, wine regions and rural estates, with each itinerary shaped around the character of its setting.

Hudson Valley in summer

Running from 30 July to 30 August, the Hudson Valley Weekend Getaway is the next scheduled event in the 2026 programme. Four departures lead guests through Upstate New York, where tree-lined roads pass orchards, rolling farmland, Hudson River scenery and the foothills of the Catskills.

The pace is designed to leave room for the countryside rather than treating every road as a test of speed. Guests rotate between Ferraris, Lamborghinis, McLarens and Porsches, following guided routes through state parks and heritage riverside towns.

Evenings are based at a classic country estate with landscaped gardens and spa facilities. The food programme moves between farm-to-table dinners and wood-smoked barbecue with local craft beer, while optional experiences include cider tasting, watchmaking workshops, guided village walks and time at the estate.

Prices start at $11,490, with departures on 30 July, 13 August, 20 August and 27 August. Each journey runs from Thursday to Sunday.

Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains in September

In Virginia, the Blue Ridge Mountains Weekend covers more than 250 miles of ridgelines, wooded valleys and mountain roads. The three September departures are timed for crisp mornings and the first warmer tones of early autumn.

Skyline Drive forms one of the central sections, offering long views across the Blue Ridge from a road built for unhurried scenic travel. The surrounding route continues through forested slopes and valleys, giving the performance cars space to stretch between slower panoramic sections.

Guests stay within a private mountain estate covering 12,000 acres, with golf, wellness facilities and wide views across the forest canopy. Southern-inspired meals are accompanied by Virginia wine, regional beer and small-batch moonshine. Private stargazing, a treetop ropes course and curated tastings can be added to the itinerary.

The weekends run on 10–13, 17–20 and 24–27 September, with prices from $10,490.

Asheville during the autumn colour

The final destination in the 2026 collection is Asheville, North Carolina, where approximately 250 miles of driving unfold through Pisgah National Forest and the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Scheduled for October, the route is planned around the region’s amber foliage and misty ridgelines. Guests drive sections of the Blue Ridge Parkway and winding forest roads before returning to an historic luxury estate outside Asheville.

The stay includes a chauffeured arrival, spa access and a farewell breakfast, alongside multi-course dinners and intimate city tapas paired with regional drinks. Optional additions range from guided estate visits and clay-shooting lessons to mountain-inspired spa rituals.

Departures take place on 8–11, 15–18 and 22–25 October. Prices start at $10,490.

California wine country and the inland West

Four earlier programmes established the western side of the collection during spring 2026. In California’s Santa Ynez Valley, drives followed the Pacific Coast Highway and roads through Los Padres National Forest, with The Inn at Mattei’s Tavern in Los Olivos providing a base. Horse riding, local cookery and wellness experiences complemented the region’s wine-focused dining.

Further north, the Napa itinerary paired the vineyard-lined Silverado Trail with private tastings and a stay at Solage Resort and Spa in Calistoga. The 22-acre resort has geothermal spa facilities and a 130-foot pool, providing a base between days spent driving among wineries and mountain scenery.

New Mexico offered the collection’s lowest starting price, from $9,490. Its route followed the High Road to Taos through pine forest, desert terrain and views towards snow-capped peaks. Bishop’s Lodge near Santa Fe served as the base, with optional horse riding, leather craft, hiking and stargazing connecting the stay to the region.

The Park City and Deer Valley programme then moved into Utah’s Wasatch Mountains. Guests stayed at Montage Deer Valley and combined high-altitude drives with spa time, historic Main Street and seasonal outdoor experiences. Prices began at $11,490.

A fully managed American road trip

All seven itineraries are designed for small groups, with the fleet used on rotation rather than assigning one car for the entire weekend. Hybrid cars are also available, according to HunterMoss.

The format preserves the pleasure of moving through a destination by road and removes daily logistical decisions through an organised route, reserved accommodation and planned dining. For the remaining 2026 departures, the Hudson Valley offers summer countryside, Virginia brings early autumn and Asheville closes the season amid October foliage.
