Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has introduced eight bookable experiences across its global portfolio, ranging from an underground concert in Mexico to first tracks on a quiet Canadian mountain.
Announced on September 9, 2026, the additions form the latest chapter of Fairmont’s Special Happens programme. They are divided between four categories: After Dark, In the Spotlight, Around the Table and In the Wild.
Guests can take over Fairmont Tokyo’s listening bar, perform with a live band in Puerto Rico, enter Istanbul’s Spice Bazaar after closing or dine beneath the coffered ceiling of a historic Boston lobby.
“At Fairmont, heartfelt hospitality is at the core of everything we do, driven by a commitment to ‘Make Special Happen’ at every stage of the guest journey,” Claudia Kozma Kaplan, Chief Brand Officer at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, said in the announcement.

Fairmont Tokyo: A Private Night of Music, Cocktails & Tokyo’s Listening Bar Culture
At Fairmont Tokyo, a luxury hotel overlooking Tokyo Bay, OFF RECORD listening bar becomes a private setting for an evening shaped by Japan’s distinctive hi-fi music culture. Bar Director Hideyuki Saito guides guests through four original cocktails inspired by J-Pop, UK Rock, Reggae and American Soul.
Each drink comes with a bespoke bite, while a Tokyo-based DJ shares stories about the musicians and influences behind the four genres. The evening finishes with a private DJ session using the bar’s high-fidelity sound system.
The wider experience includes two nights in Fairmont Tokyo’s Presidential Suite, with premium in-room audio equipment and a vinyl selection. It also includes a rickshaw ride through the city and privileged vantage points at Tokyo Tower. Fairmont lists availability from December 1, 2026, until December 31, 2027.
Fairmont Mayakoba: Symphony in a Cenote
Set amid mangroves and tropical forest on Mexico’s Riviera Maya, Fairmont Mayakoba is hosting a candlelit live performance inside an underground cenote. Guests enter the limestone chamber after dark, where clear water and the cavern’s natural acoustics create an intimate concert setting.
Handcrafted canapés and Champagne accompany the performance. Unlike the longer-running Tokyo package, Symphony in a Cenote is planned as a one-night event, with the next edition scheduled for October 30, 2026.
In the Spotlight: Emirati traditions and private performances
Fairmont Bab Al Bahr: Karam, A Journey of Emirati Hospitality
Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, a waterfront hotel in Abu Dhabi overlooking Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, has created a full-day introduction to Emirati hospitality and cuisine. Named Karam, the experience begins with Arabic coffee and dates at the hotel.
Guests are then taken by private transfer to Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque for a personalised cultural visit, and female guests have an abaya provided. On returning to the hotel, Chef Muna Al Mansoori welcomes participants into the kitchen to explore the methods and family stories associated with Emirati cooking.
The day concludes with a meal at Mazaj, where tables look across Khor Al Maqta towards the mosque. Fairmont El San Juan Hotel: The Grand Performance Experience Stay
On Puerto Rico’s Isla Verde, Fairmont El San Juan Hotel draws on an entertainment history dating back to 1958 for a stay that puts guests on stage. Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and Liza Minnelli were among the performers and visitors associated with the property during its earlier decades.
The Grand Performance Experience Stay begins with a personalised styling session before the guest joins a live band at Chico Cabaret. Dining and access to the hotel’s nightlife are included, connecting the performance with the property’s long-standing role in Puerto Rico’s music scene.
Fairmont Golden Prague: The Ultimate Curated Music Experience
Fairmont Golden Prague, a newly revived luxury hotel beside the Vltava River, has partnered with private music club and creative space dopeYEAH on a tailored encounter with Prague’s musicians.
Each itinerary is created around the guest and may include an intimate concert, artist meetings, private storytelling or access to spaces usually closed to visitors. The setting contains a private collection of radios, jukeboxes and other music memorabilia.
Availability is limited to Fairmont Golden Prague guests, with the exact programme shaped around their musical interests.
Around the Table: Istanbul spices and dinner in Boston’s lobby
Fairmont Quasar Istanbul: The Spice Route
Fairmont Quasar Istanbul, a contemporary luxury hotel overlooking the Bosphorus, begins its Spice Route experience after the city’s Spice Bazaar has closed to the public. A master merchant leads guests through the quiet market, tracing five centuries of trading history through rare ingredients and traditional Turkish flavours.
The evening then moves to Aila, the hotel’s Turkish restaurant. Guests work with the culinary team to produce a personal spice blend before sitting down to a private, chef-led tasting dinner. Its courses reflect ingredients and stories introduced during the bazaar visit.
Fairmont lists the evening experience at approximately five hours, making it one of the collection’s most detailed culinary itineraries.
Fairmont Copley Plaza: Holiday Bacchanal Dinner
In Boston’s Back Bay, Fairmont Copley Plaza will open its historic lobby for the annual Holiday Bacchanal Dinner on December 17, 2026. It is the only evening of the year when the 113-year-old space, distinguished by Italian marble columns and a 21-foot coffered ceiling, hosts a formal dinner.
Inspired by Bacchus, the Roman god associated with wine and revelry, the event welcomes guests with Champagne and live music. A five-course dinner follows, accompanied by selected fine wines. The evening is scheduled from 6.30pm until 9.30pm.
In the Wild: First tracks at Mont-Tremblant
Fairmont Tremblant: Beyond the Slopes
Fairmont Tremblant, a ski-in, ski-out resort at the foot of Quebec’s Mont-Tremblant, has designed a private winter itinerary around early mountain access and secluded après-ski dining.
Beyond the Slopes starts with chauffeured Cadillac transport from Montréal–Trudeau International Airport to the hotel. The following morning, guests join a private guide for First Tracks, reaching the mountain 40 minutes before it opens and skiing some of Tremblant’s quieter trails.
After leaving the slopes, guests have access to a private winter dome on the hotel’s Après-Ski terrace, with Canada Goose lending gear, Champagne and gourmet hors d’oeuvres. The package also covers an overnight stay in the new Presidential Suite, a private in-suite dinner and breakfast at Le Comptoir. Cadillac transport returns guests to the airport.
How to reserve the new Fairmont experiences
Special Happens began as an extension of Fairmont’s Make Special Happen campaign, with experiences intended to connect each hotel stay more closely to its destination. An earlier expansion in April 2026 included a private helicopter flight over the Great Wall of China and Indigenous-led foraging at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge.
The eight latest additions are available through participating hotels, with dates and inclusions varying by experience. Reservations are essential and can be made through Fairmont’s official Special Happens experience hub.
Guests booking eligible stays can also use ALL Accor, the group’s booking and loyalty programme, to earn points for later rewards, services or experiences.
