Chiva-Som Hua Hin has announced complimentary wellness sessions for October to December 2026, alongside plans for Loy Krathong and year-end celebrations.
The programme gives guests staying at the seaside resort a choice between structured classes and quieter sessions, from posture-focused exercise to sound baths. November brings a four-class yoga residency with Adrienne Everett and a poolside celebration of one of Thailand’s best-loved festivals. Christmas dinners and a Thai-heritage New Year’s Eve follow in December.
Hua Hin’s cooler final months make an appealing time to spend outdoors by the sea. At Chiva-Som, they also mark the end of a year-long programme exploring the Four Elements of Thai Traditional Medicine. The closing theme is Earth, which the resort associates with the body’s solid structures, strength and posture.

Earth-element classes in October
Chiva-Som’s 2026 wellness programme assigned Fire to the first quarter, Wind to the second, Water to the third and Earth to the last. These are the Dhatu, or Four Elements, within Thai Traditional Medicine’s traditional account of the body. The resort has used them to give each season’s guest activities a different focus.
“Thai Traditional Medicine is a key part of Chiva-Som Hua Hin’s core philosophy upon which our approach to holistic health has been built for more than three decades,” said Vaipanya Kongkwanyuen, the resort’s general manager, when the annual programme was introduced in February.
October’s schedule puts that Earth theme into practice. Lumbopelvic Rhythm Exercise runs on 4, 11, 18 and 25 October, concentrating on the coordinated movement of the lower back and pelvis. Chiva-Som says the sessions are intended to support posture and muscle endurance. Guests interested in the ideas behind the classes can join Thai Wisdom for Element Balance, led by senior Thai Traditional Medicine practitioner and holistic therapist Chananchida Banyeam. Her session looks at how the Four Elements inform treatments and daily habits.
The gentler end of the calendar includes a Tibetan Bowls Sound Bath on 7 October, repeated on 11 November. Led by a resort holistic therapist, it is designed as a meditative session built around sound. Earth Energy Embrace takes place on 22 October, 20 November and 18 December, introducing grounding practices through the resort’s Earth-element approach to ageing and vitality.
Two talks give October’s programme a different pace. On World Mental Health Day, 10 October, Theelon Kurusattra, a specialist in mental health and wellness, will lead Cultivating a Positive Mind, focusing on mindful awareness and supportive routines. On World Food Day, 16 October, Keletso Kelosiwang, who works at the resort as a naturopath and nutrition specialist, will discuss mindful eating and nutrient-rich food choices in Beyond Calories: Nourishment as the True Measure of Health. Both offer a way into the resort’s wellness programme for guests who would rather start with a conversation than an exercise class.
Adrienne Everett’s November yoga residency
November begins with Joint Retraining Classes on 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 November. The exercises draw on Ai Chi techniques and Berg balance training, with a focus on knowing where the body is in space and moving with greater control. Chiva-Som describes the aim as better body awareness and balance.
Everett’s four-class residency runs from 7 to 9 November. She starts with Power Sculpt at 8am on 7 November, a full-body class using controlled resistance work. Her signature strength-based class, The Adrienne Method, follows at 8am on 8 November. Anyone in the mood for a slower Sunday can return for Yoga Stretch at 5pm, before Slow Vinyasa Flow rounds off the residency at 8am on 9 November.
The classes are intended for different experience levels, with modifications available where needed. Chiva-Som says the group wellness activities in its final-quarter calendar are complimentary for guests staying at the resort.
Loy Krathong at the resort on 24 November
Loy Krathong falls on the full moon of the 12th month of the Thai lunar calendar. The name refers to floating a krathong, a small decorated basket traditionally made with banana leaves, on water. Chiva-Som’s celebration is scheduled for 24 November, with its own festivities taking place around the resort pool.
Guests will first be able to admire krathongs made by Chiva-Som staff and vote for a favourite in the resort’s contest. Later, a Thai parade will travel from the Open Lounge to the swimming pool, accompanied by a Long Drum Dance.
The evening programme moves to Taste of Siam for a barbecue dinner accompanied by Thai music and performances of classical dance. After the winning krathong team is announced, guests will gather to float the baskets in the pool.
Christmas and New Year at Chiva-Som
Taste of Siam will host a Christmas Eve barbecue dinner on 24 December, accompanied by live piano music. Local children will sing carols afterwards. Christmas Day brings a brunch at the restaurant with live acoustic guitar.
New Year’s Eve has a more elaborate programme, billed by Chiva-Som as Where Culture Comes to Life: An Evening of Thai Heritage. Guests are invited to dress in contemporary Thai-inspired attire for an opening cocktail party, followed by a barbecue dinner around the pool. Live music and a DJ are planned, alongside a Thai drum performance, a young Nora dancer, Thai martial arts and a performance called Spirit of Thai Warriors. The resort lists the New Year’s Eve event as an additional-cost celebration, separate from its complimentary wellness sessions.
On 1 January 2027, guests can take part in alms giving at Chiva-Som’s Tai Chi Pavilion. Breakfast and brunch follow, with live acoustic guitar.
Stay privileges and booking details
Chiva-Som’s October privileges include complimentary return airport transfers for guests booking at least five nights in any suite category. That suite transfer benefit also applies to stays of five nights or more in November and December. For October only, guests staying at least six nights in an Ocean Room or Thai Pavilion category can instead receive wellness credit of THB 1,000++ per person, per night, approximately £22 before charges.
The offers apply to new retreat bookings and cannot be combined. The October credit is for treatments during the stay; Niranlada treatments, consultations and third-party services are excluded. Chiva-Som says the benefits cannot be exchanged for cash or carried forward, so it is worth choosing the room category and offer together rather than assuming the privileges will stack.
Rates start at THB 31,000++ per person, per night, approximately £695 before service charge and VAT, which add 17.7% in total. Bookings can be made through the Chiva-Som Hua Hin website or by contacting reservations@chivasom.com, +66 32 536 536 or WhatsApp +66 82 796 7689.
