A house with twenty metres of glazing above a Devon meadow, a Victorian clock tower with its own spa barn, and a former church with a platform for watching the night sky: these are three very different ways to get everyone together in 2027.
GroupAccommodation.com has selected eight UK stays for next year. Four are described as newly opened, three are new to its platform and one has added a sauna. The prices below are starting rental rates, so the per-person sums depend on filling every advertised bed and splitting the bill evenly. It’s worth checking the room layout as carefully as the headline capacity, particularly if your group includes couples, children or anyone who needs step-free access.
1. Field House, near Bude: meadow views and step-free interiors
Field House sits above a three-acre meadow on the Devon side of the North Cornwall border. Its twenty-metre glazed frontage opens towards three terraces, while larch cladding, oak floors, clay tiles and vintage furniture give the single-storey house a considered, lived-in feel. Bude is around ten minutes away by car for beaches, the sea pool and walks along the South West Coast Path.

Four bedrooms sleep eight: three have king-size beds and one is a twin. A shallow ramp leads in from the parking area, the interiors are step-free and the showers have flush thresholds. There are, however, nine steps between the front balcony and garden, so anyone relying on the ramp should check how the outdoor layout works for them.
A sauna, outdoor shower and pétanque pitch are due for Easter 2027; don’t count on them for an earlier stay. A week starts at £1,350, which is approximately £24.11 per person per night with eight guests. A two-night weekend starts at £995, or about £62.19 each per night. School summer holidays require a seven-night stay.
2. Clocktower House, Cumbria: a private spa barn for twelve
The clock tower of Clocktower House rises above a restored Victorian coach house at Whitehall Estate, near the northern edge of the Lake District. Sandstone walls, cobbles and high ceilings remain from the 1861 building. The six bedrooms sleep twelve, with a dining table large enough for everyone to sit together.

A separate barn, reserved for the house’s guests, makes this one especially appealing for a weekend centred on staying in. It holds a six-person hot tub and sauna, plus arcade games, darts and a TV. Back at the house are a firepit, barbecue and parking for six cars. Dogs are accepted by enquiry, and there’s an EV charger.
Mealsgate is a base for outings rather than a lakeside address: Cockermouth and Bassenthwaite are around twenty minutes away, with Keswick and Derwentwater approximately twenty-five to thirty minutes away. Prices start at £3,250 for a week or £1,400 for two nights. At full occupancy, the two-night rate is about £58.33 per person per night. Before check-in, a £500 security deposit is authorised.
3. Eleanor Hall, near Knowle: manor-house dining and a cinema room
Eleanor Hall has five king-size bedrooms, three reception rooms and a dining room that seats eighteen. Its listed nineteenth-century interiors include ornate ceilings and original fireplaces, while a four-metre cinema screen, Sonos speakers and an outdoor hot tub bring everyone firmly into the present. The house stands in 21 acres of private parkland near Knowle.

The sleeping arrangements deserve a look before inviting eighteen people to dinner. Ten can sleep in the five king-size beds; the larger capacity advertised by the operator uses sofa beds in bedrooms and the ground-floor morning room. Two bedrooms are en suite, with the other three sharing a family bathroom. Outside, there’s a firepit, barbecue and room for lawn games, plus a treehouse, an in-ground trampoline and swings for children.
The Grand Union Canal towpath is a short walk away, and Dorridge station is around seven minutes away by car. The starting price is £1,000 a night with a two-night minimum: £100 per person per night if ten guests share, or £2,000 for the minimum stay before any extras. Up to two dogs can come by arrangement, with charges applying.
4. The Freeth, Herefordshire: an indoor pool on a country estate
The former hunting lodge at The Freeth sleeps eighteen in nine bedrooms near Bromyard. Its walled garden, orchard, terrace and estate walking trails give a large group room to spread out, but the private indoor pool may be the deciding detail. Set in a courtyard pool house, it measures eight by four metres and has a constant depth of 1.2 metres.

Inside the house are exposed beams, an open fireplace, shared dining spaces, a snug and a games room with a pool table, table tennis and table football. Two estate lakes are available for wild swimming, kayaking or fishing, and, subject to availability, guests can arrange an experience on a private steam train. Children need supervision around the garden’s ponds and in the pool house; the latter can be locked.
A week starts at £5,500, or approximately £43.65 per person per night at full occupancy. The two-night weekend rate starts at £3,500, around £97.22 each per night. All nine bedrooms are upstairs, despite step-free access to the entrance and ground floor. Hen parties are considered on request, and there’s a £500 refundable breakage deposit.
5. Greystead Old Church, Northumberland: stained glass and dark skies
Greystead Old Church is a converted Georgian church in the North Tyne Valley, with four ground-floor bedrooms sleeping eight. The kitchen, dining and living areas occupy a mezzanine; beneath the stained-glass window in the former altar area, a second sitting room has a wood burner. Stonework, Victorian tiles and panelling remain part of the building.

The restored church tower has a viewing platform reached by a spiral staircase. There’s also an outdoor stargazing platform near the garden, with binoculars and equipment supplied; that outdoor space is shared with guests of the neighbouring Coach House. Kielder Water is around four miles away, adding another outing to a stay within Northumberland National Park.
The church has been holiday accommodation since 2013 and is new to GroupAccommodation.com’s selection, rather than a new conversion. Prices start at £1,560 for a week or £900 for two nights. With all eight beds filled, the weekend works out at £56.25 per person per night. Two dogs are accepted, but the booking rules do not permit parties or events, making this a better choice for a quieter family or friends’ gathering.
6. West Barn and Little Bickley, Somerset: pool time for a larger group
West Barn and Little Bickley sit near Milverton, approximately forty metres apart. West Barn sleeps fourteen in five en-suite bedrooms and has a heated indoor pool for private use, plus a hot tub, sauna and cinema room. The neighbouring three-bedroom cottage sleeps six and has its own covered hot tub. A barrel sauna was added in summer 2026.

The barn’s dining table can accommodate twenty with additional chairs, which makes the pairing attractive for a birthday or hen weekend. Private chefs, yoga, treatments, wine tasting and craft workshops can be arranged, while footpaths lead into the surrounding countryside. The cottage may also be let separately, so book both buildings if your plans depend on having the whole group together.
GroupAccommodation.com quotes prices from £2,950 for a week or £2,800 for a three-night weekend, using sixteen guests for its per-person examples. Little Bickley is described elsewhere as an additional-cost booking, so confirm exactly which accommodation is included in a quote before dividing the rate between your group. Hen parties are welcomed; stag parties and all-male groups are excluded, and noise restrictions apply.
7. Beaufront Castle, Northumberland: Gothic rooms above the Tyne Valley
Beaufront Castle offers eight bedrooms for sixteen guests at Sandhoe, near Hexham and Corbridge. The Gothic Revival mansion has a vaulted dining hall with a billiards table, a drawing room with a grand piano and views across the Tyne Valley, and a separate breakfast room seating the whole group.

The booking gives guests exclusive use of half the castle; the owner lives separately in the other half. Five super-king rooms and three twins make the bed allocation relatively straightforward, with six bathrooms across the guest accommodation. Dogs are allowed, and Hadrian’s Wall and Northumberland National Park are within reach for days out.
A week starts at £4,659, or approximately £41.60 per person per night when sixteen share. A two-night weekend starts at £3,000, equivalent to £93.75 each per night. Although the castle is among the properties described as ‘just opened’ in the selection, it was introduced as a holiday rental in 2024. Its current booking rules say no parties or events, so check those terms before planning a celebration.
8. Newhouse, Kent: a Georgian country house for thirty
The platform advertises Newhouse in Mersham, near Ashford, with fifteen bedrooms for thirty people, seating for twenty-four at the main dining table and another six at a second table. Period features include sash windows, fireplaces and high ceilings; the listed house has an eighteenth-century exterior and an older core.

The house and flats are undergoing refurbishment and redecoration. Images on the listing illustrate the intended look rather than completed rooms, while a games room and outdoor hot tub are described as forthcoming. Ask what will be ready for your dates if those facilities are important to the trip.
The starting rate is £900 a night with a two-night minimum. Split between thirty guests, that is £30 per person per night, or £1,800 for the minimum stay before any extras. The large dining setup makes Newhouse promising for a catered gathering, provided the finished layout and facilities suit your plans.
