Autumn 2026 brings a varied collection of expert-led retreats, with programmes shaped around culinary travel, medical wellness, Pilates and outdoor adventure. The settings are equally diverse, stretching from the quiet fjords of Sunnmøre to a private-island reserve in Indonesia.
These six retreats have clear specialisms and fixed dates between September and December. Published prices vary in what they include, so accommodation, transfers and programme fees should be checked carefully before booking.

1. Hotel Union Øye x Brian Mark Hansen, Norway
For destination dining beside the fjords
Set among the mountains and fjords of Sunnmøre, Hotel Union Øye is a historic Norwegian hotel hosting Bocuse d’Or winner Brian Mark Hansen from 30 October to 1 November 2026. The limited two-night residency presents Hansen’s cooking away from his own restaurant.
Hansen, who won the Bocuse d’Or in Lyon in 2023, will take over The Conservatory with a menu created for the weekend. His precise cooking will draw on seasonal produce from the surrounding region, while the hotel’s resident chef, Nicklas Skov, will serve his own signature menu.
The setting complements the culinary programme. Hotel Union Øye has welcomed travellers since 1891, and its secluded location suits guests who want to pair dinner with time outdoors. The package includes a three-hour guided Saturday hike suitable for all levels, alongside open access to the sauna. Guests can also explore nearby villages or arrange time on the fjord.
The experience starts from NOK 25,000 for a Classic Room, including two nights, Hansen’s dinner, the guided hike and sauna access. Capacity is limited, and the format suits guests seeking a short, food-led escape.
2. Ross J. Barr Retreat at Chenot Palace Weggis, Switzerland
For a structured seasonal health programme
On the shores of Lake Lucerne, Chenot Palace Weggis is a medical wellness hotel hosting acupuncturist Ross J. Barr from 30 September to 7 October 2026. This will be Barr’s fourth exclusive retreat at the property, combining his Five Element Acupuncture practice with Chenot’s seven-day Advanced Detox programme.
The schedule is built around medical consultations, nutritional guidance and diagnostic assessments. Guests also receive two private acupuncture sessions with Barr, whose work for more than 20 years has focused on fertility, stress management and women’s health.
Treatments include energetic massage, hydro-aromatherapy, phyto-mud applications and hydro-jet sessions. A body-composition analysis and bio-energetic check-up are also included, while meals follow the restricted Chenot Diet throughout the stay.
The retreat overlaps with the hotel’s seasonal Immune Optimisation initiative. Guests booking an eligible Chenot Detox Programme between 1 September and 31 December receive the module without an additional programme fee. It includes gut microbiome testing, immune blood testing, oxygen exposure treatments and intravenous vitamin therapies.
The Ross J. Barr retreat costs CHF 6,000, with a minimum seven-night stay. Accommodation is separate and starts from CHF 410 per night.
3. The BEAT x Suvretta Spa Retreat, St Moritz
For intensive Pilates and alpine recovery
Located in St Moritz, Suvretta House is an elegant Alpine hotel hosting the first standalone retreat from luxury Pilates brand THE BEAT between 5 and 11 October 2026. The six-night programme is designed for individuals, couples and groups seeking a full fitness schedule.
THE BEAT founder Bibi Ariani has centred the retreat on her Slow Resistance Training Method, a Reformer-based workout combining strength, endurance, balance, flexibility and cardiovascular exercise. The teaching line-up includes instructor Baylee Saltmarsh, Synkro Studio Dubai, THE UNIT Zurich and medical longevity specialist Dr Ursula Kraneburg.
Days combine Pilates, functional fitness, yoga, meditation, breathwork, sound healing, hikes and guided runs. Recovery is equally structured, with a 90-minute massage, body-composition analysis, Sauna Aufguss session and assisted cold plunge in a natural glacier pool included.
Guests also receive daily access to the three-level Suvretta Spa, which opened in December 2025, and personalised menus focused on nutrient-dense food. The programme combines demanding sessions with scheduled recovery.
Applications for The BEAT x Suvretta Spa Retreat are reviewed subject to availability. Packages start from CHF 8,850 per room for six nights in a Single Room Deluxe Lake. A day-retreater option without accommodation costs CHF 7,000 per person.
4. The Yin Way Retreat at Six Senses Kanuhura and Kyoto
For female-focused health at different life stages
Six Senses is launching The Yin Way Retreat, The Way of a Woman, with three-night editions in the Maldives and Japan. The programme addresses women’s wellbeing through reproductive health, family planning, perimenopause, menopause and later life.
Hati S. Malinova, Six Senses Wellness Director and Integrative Health Expert, leads both retreats. She brings more than two decades of experience in female and reproductive health, combining modern science with Traditional Chinese Medicine and Taoist philosophy.
The first edition takes place at Six Senses Kanuhura from 1 to 4 October. Set across three private islands in the Maldives, the resort gives the programme a warm, barefoot setting. Integrated wellness screenings and individual consultations are paired with yin yoga, sound healing, hormonal-health workshops, botanical sessions and a dolphin cruise. Rates start from USD 3,361 per person in a Beach Villa With Pool.
From 11 to 14 December, the retreat moves to Six Senses Kyoto, where the format takes on a Japanese seasonal character. Qigong and Daoist meditation sit alongside kintsugi, ikebana, herbal teas, hydrotherapy and contrast therapy. Rates start from JPY 666,000 per person in a Deluxe King Room.
Both editions incorporate the brand’s sleep and nutrition principles, with practical guidance intended for continued use at home.
5. Bawah Power: Nature Reset & Longevity Retreat, Indonesia
For private-island nature and daily spa rituals
In Indonesia’s remote Anambas Archipelago, Bawah Reserve is a private-island retreat launching its first structured wellbeing programme from 22 to 27 October 2026. The five-day experience combines outdoor movement with personalised treatments, workshops and time beside the water.
Mornings begin with yoga, breathwork or light strength sessions overlooking the ocean. Guests can then swim, snorkel, kayak, follow forest trails or explore the reserve’s 13 beaches and two lagoons. Evenings include restorative movement, meditation, thermal rituals and aromatherapy turndowns.
Daily treatments take place at the expanded Aura Wellbeing Sanctuary. Each guest also receives two individual sessions chosen from options such as naturopathic consultation, life coaching, private Pilates, biofeedback and trauma-release exercises.
Executive Chef Joaquin Soler, who has Michelin-level kitchen training, will prepare seasonal menus using local ingredients. Bawah describes the food programme as supporting gut health and metabolic recovery.
The Bawah retreat programme costs USD 2,800 per person before accommodation. Complete packages start at USD 8,900 per person, calculated for two guests sharing a Tented Garden Suite for five nights, including the retreat, meals, activities and return transport from Singapore.
6. Cowgirl Up at Lone Mountain Ranch, Montana
For horseback adventure in Yellowstone Country
Set in Big Sky, Montana, Lone Mountain Ranch is a historic ranch hosting its women-only Cowgirl Up week from 20 to 25 September 2026. Guests can arrive with friends or family, while solo travellers are also welcome.
The programme centres on horseback trail rides and the landscapes of Yellowstone Country. Guided hikes through the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, excursions into Yellowstone National Park, sunset rides and a Tuesday Night Rodeo fill the days.
Back at the ranch, evenings bring locally inspired meals, campfires, barbecues and live Western music. Saloon-style dancing and relaxed ranch breakfasts give the week a sociable rhythm without requiring guests to join every activity.
A dedicated 2026 Cowgirl Up price has not been published. General summer cabin rates start from USD 2,000 per night and include accommodation, transportation and meals. Travellers should request the event-specific rate directly from Lone Mountain Ranch before booking.
