Andaz Gold Coast is now accepting reservations for a planned late 2026 opening, when it will become the first Andaz hotel in Australia and the Pacific.
Located at 16 Casino Drive in Broadbeach, the 202-room hotel will sit within The Star Gold Coast precinct, close to the beach, Pacific Fair Shopping Centre and the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre. Guests will also have Broadbeach’s restaurants, nightlife and shopping within easy reach.
The opening brings Hyatt’s design-led Andaz brand to one of Australia’s best-known coastal destinations. Its hotels are conceived around their locations, with design, dining and guest experiences shaped by the surrounding culture.
“Andaz Gold Coast represents an important milestone as the Andaz brand prepares to debut in Australia and the Pacific,” said David Udell, executive vice president and group president, Asia Pacific at Hyatt. “The hotel has been designed to capture the optimism, creative energy and natural contrasts of the Gold Coast, giving guests new ways to experience the destination through design, food, culture and personal discovery.”

A 202-room hotel in the heart of Broadbeach
Andaz Gold Coast will occupy floors six to 21 of the second tower in The Star Gold Coast’s Broadbeach development, according to Hyatt’s original project announcement. The 65-storey tower will also contain the second stage of The Star Residences.
The hotel forms part of a resort expansion valued at $400 million by The Star Entertainment Group. Alongside the 202 hotel rooms, the project is expected to introduce 437 apartments and become the second of up to five towers proposed under the precinct’s wider masterplan.
The location balances the convenience of an integrated resort with access to the Gold Coast beyond it. Broadbeach’s wide stretch of sand is moments away, while the cafés and restaurants around Oracle Boulevard provide a more walkable alternative to spending every meal inside the hotel.
The Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre is nearby for business travellers and event guests. Pacific Fair, one of Queensland’s largest shopping centres, is also within the immediate Broadbeach area.
Interiors inspired by coastal light
Australian practice DBI Architects has designed Andaz Gold Coast, with interiors by Hachem. The creative concept follows the movement of light across the region, beginning with a Pacific sunrise and ending with warmer twilight tones over the hinterland.
Warm colours, changing light, tactile materials and green references to the hinterland will carry that idea through the shared spaces. The design is intended to reflect the contrast between the coastline and the lush interior beyond it, without resorting to a literal beach theme.
“We look forward to welcoming guests into a hotel that feels unmistakably of the Gold Coast,” said general manager Saraid Carey. “From sunrise-lit guestrooms and expressive dining to afternoons around the pool and cocktails at golden hour, every element has been shaped around the way people want to experience this destination.”
The hotel’s accommodation will include contemporary guestrooms and suites with floor-to-ceiling windows, locally influenced interiors and a relaxed residential character. Listed amenities include complimentary minibars, Nespresso machines, Byredo bathroom products and Dyson hairdryers.
Selected rooms will have private outdoor spaces. Suites will provide deep soaking bathtubs and dual vanities alongside larger living and entertaining areas, making them better suited to longer stays or special occasions.
At the top of the accommodation range, the Andaz Residence Suite will offer an expansive entertainer’s terrace and generous indoor-outdoor living space. Its layout is being designed for private gatherings as well as extended visits.
Four dining and social venues
Food and drink will move from easy mornings into late-evening cocktails, with four distinct venues planned across the hotel.
Nove Restaurant and Bar will reinterpret Mediterranean hospitality through a modern Australian perspective. Local produce, fire-led cooking and shared dishes will shape the menu, creating a convivial main restaurant rather than a formal hotel dining room.
Vista Lounge will serve as the hotel’s all-day social centre, changing in mood as daylight gives way to evening. Verde Bar will offer a more intimate setting for golden-hour cocktails and refined bites.
Outside, Andaz Pool Club will combine sun loungers, private cabanas, cocktails and alfresco dining. Earlier plans place the outdoor pool deck on level six, above the surrounding resort precinct and close to the hotel’s principal social spaces.
The four venues will suit different points in a Gold Coast stay, from a quiet breakfast and a long poolside afternoon to drinks before dinner. It also gives guests several options without leaving the resort, while central Broadbeach remains close for those who want to explore further.
Wellness and local Gold Coast experiences
The wellness facilities will include a fully equipped Technogym fitness centre. Hyatt’s accessibility information also lists accessible routes to guest rooms, restaurants and the fitness centre, alongside accessible parking and rooms with mobility features.
Locally connected programming will extend the experience beyond the building. Andaz hosts will act as neighbourhood insiders, introducing guests to people and places associated with the contemporary Gold Coast, from its culinary community to its beaches and rainforest hinterland.
Full details of those experiences have not yet been released. The approach reflects the wider Andaz model, which encourages guests to engage with each hotel’s destination through local design and cultural programming.
