Six Senses has announced a new women’s wellness retreat series, with four-day programmes taking place in the Maldives this October and Kyoto in December 2026.

The Yin Way Retreat – The Way of a Woman is designed to support women through different life stages, from pre-pregnancy to post-menopause. Its approach combines modern health screening with Traditional Chinese Medicine, restorative treatments and the Yin principles of rest, receptivity, reflection and cyclical living.

Each retreat will be led by Six Senses Wellness Director and integrative health specialist Hati S. Malinova. Her experience spans more than two decades across female health, postpartum care, counselling psychology and Traditional Chinese Medicine, including 12 years at a women’s health hospital in Shanghai.

Guests will receive an integrated wellness screening on arrival, informing a personalised programme focused on areas such as cortisol regulation, hormonal balance, circadian rhythms and sleep. Lymphatic drainage and heat therapies feature alongside the group sessions, while Six Senses’ approaches to nutrition and sleep run throughout each stay.

The retreat reflects a wider focus among wellness providers on health protocols created specifically for women. The Global Wellness Institute’s 2026 wellness trends forecast identifies women-focused longevity and nervous-system regulation among the themes shaping the sector.

Island wellness at Six Senses Kanuhura

Six Senses Kanuhura, a luxury island resort surrounded by white-sand beaches in the Maldives, will host the first retreat from 1 to 4 October 2026.

Daily yin yoga and sound healing sessions are designed to settle the nervous system, complemented by hormonal-health workshops and personalised spa treatments. At the resort’s Alchemy Bar, guests will learn about herbs and botanicals traditionally associated with hormonal wellbeing.

A dolphin cruise offers time on the water, while shared meals bring the group together each day. Accommodation is in a Beach Villa With Pool, with rates starting at USD 3,361 per person. Further details are available on the Six Senses Kanuhura retreat page.

Japanese rituals at Six Senses Kyoto

Six Senses Kyoto, an urban wellness hotel in the historic Higashiyama district, will offer a version of the retreat shaped by its Japanese setting from 11 to 14 December 2026.

The programme includes qigong, Daoist meditation and Japanese creative practices. Guests can try kintsugi, the art of repairing ceramics with lacquer and gold powder, as well as ikebana flower arranging, labyrinth walks and herbal-tea rituals.

Seminars on women’s health will be supported by English-Japanese interpretation. Sleep tracking, biohacking sessions and access to hydrotherapy and contrast therapy facilities complement the programme, with free time reserved for Kyoto’s temples and gardens.
